It seem that OCBC cannot check the Credit Limit of existing AMEX CC...

QUOTE(Dannyl @ Sep 2 2010, 12:12 PM) When you apply for a new card and enclose information on an existing owned card, what can the applied bank see from the existing card? Brief info like credit limit, or detailed info like transactions, payments, etc? I guess Credit Limit and how clean your record is when using the CC.They won't see detailed transactions. |

QUOTE(exentric_nova @ Sep 3 2010, 11:17 PM) The RM2 Service Fee correct? Well that's a lot better than having to drive all the way to KL just to make the payments. Thanks! Issue a cheque and mail it to them is still cheaper. That's why we should choose credit card whose banks are around your home work place ;-) to save petrol. |

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Sep 5 2010, 12:55 AM) Regarding the cheque deposit machine, Public Bank and HSBC are the only two banks in Malaysia using strictly only the one with image scanning capability. If i'm not mistaken, EON Bank is also using only this kind of machine too but i am not very sure. Banks such as Maybank and CIMB Bank are using both the ancient one and the advanced one with image scanning capability. Maybank, CIMB & Alliance cheque deposit machines can also do scanning of cheques. |

QUOTE(jonuslee @ Sep 5 2010, 03:35 PM) hi. guys. I got one question here. let say if the principal card and supplementary card account is separate. if the cc statement state that principal is RM5.40 CR and the supplementary is RM146.60 and the CC bill statement show the total current balance as 141.20. SO the supplementary pay total of RM145.00 since the principal card user din spend anything. But when the next statement come the RM5.40 is credited to the principal account while the supplementary still have the balance of RM1.60( since only pay RM145.00 previously since statement show total balance is only RM141.20) but i din see any late payment charge. Can anyone explain to me why? kind of blur. Always pay the amount based on each card's outstanding amount.Principal don't need to pay as the bank owe you RM5.40 as Credit. Supplementary card need to pay exactly per card balance (don't lump it as one with the RM5.40 above). It was your mistake to pay RM145.00 for the supplementary in the first place. The Supplementary balance was RM146.60. Thus now you owe the bank RM1.60 on the supplementary card. To use the RM5.40 credit for the supplementary account, you need to call the bank or cancel both cards. The total current balance as 141.20 on statement is not useful and confusing. Learn to read CC statement carefully. |

QUOTE(chemistry @ Sep 6 2010, 12:49 AM) Not really. One single cheque but multiple card account must be specified (behind the cheque) and during entering into Cheque Deposit machine (with scanning)I can use one single cheque to settle my principal card and two supp cards at its Cheque Deposit Terminal. Cash payment also need to specify individual card account. This post has been edited by ronnie: Sep 6 2010, 09:39 AM |

QUOTE(nokia2003 @ Sep 6 2010, 05:35 PM) hi guys. The odd shape in the right side. So it's still ok to be inserted into credit card machinesi'm keen on the OCBC bank titanium mastercard. but just out of curiosity, will automated machines (like those found in self service petrol kiosks, TM payment points et cetera) be able to accept such an oddly or rather weirdly shaped card? reading further into their T&C, now, how on earth do we get these MCC codes? thanks guys! |

QUOTE(gerrardling @ Sep 7 2010, 11:02 AM) guys, what is so good about ocbc titanium cc ? talking about cashback, citibank got better offer than them. The only drawback is OCBC's Cashback is limited to RM100 (until 31 Dec 2010)/RM50 (from 1 Jan 2011 onwards), while Citibank's is unlimited.BUT Citbank's cashback bad points :- - 0.3% on other retail purchases - Cash rebate shall be credited into your account when the accumulated cash rebate for a particular month reaches RM50, otherwise the cash back will be carried forward to the next month. - The amount of cash rebate which may be awarded to you in the period of one month for petrol spend shall be subject to the maximum limit of RM30 |

QUOTE(cenkudu @ Sep 11 2010, 09:07 AM) if I have received a credit card on 17 September and the card statement date is 15 september does it means I need to pay for the tax on 5 September? or 5th October? Was there a typo ??? 15th or 5th ?Receive date of the card physically doesn't matter. Check the date on the letter which came with the CC "sticked on" The RM50 will be charged on the card approval date (which is usually the statement date) |

FYI, the OCBC Titanium rebate is credited on the same date as posting date of the transaction... nice ;-)
Do you think we can get the RM50 GST waive if we spend RM10,000 before 31 Dec 2010 ? or Does the spending of RM10k is only valide for next year's GST ? |
