Wow, OCBC internet banking can pay bills by using credit card and also get 3% rebate.

It was not there few days ago when I activated my online banking.

Added on October 7, 2010, 7:27 amWhy TMB is not listed in payment page when it has been added as registered payee? I only can see TNB.
*
I was shocked and surprised too! It's a freat news for those who wish to pay manually each month.

Just check with OCBC CS, if TM is not listed in payment page by using credit card, that payee does not accept payment by cc.

So TMB is not. sad.gif
*
Sad to hear that.

If that is the fact, we still got next best solution to earn rebates, ie. via TMONLINE. MilesAndMore pays TM bills through TMOnline so he might advise us then.

By using TM Online and not OCBC Online Banking, we miss only the 3% bonus. 5% permanent rebate is still there.

Kesian...the customer doesn't appreciate it. But I think the customer wants less trouble (not saying you are giving trouble), just when he/she needs to pay you back in cash and doesn't have those small money like cents.

However, if you are lending them a privilege card at the counter to get rebate, I believe they will appreciate it like Jcard for example.
*
I can do round down anyway , based on the 10% rebate.
For example, if the bill amount (plus GST) is RM51.25, well, he can just pay me RM50.00, and I will earn my RM5.12 as rebate in the end. The higher the bill amount, the more discount I could give biggrin.gif

Certainly, I told them everything.
Although I wanted to offer a discount, they acted so defensively, as if I wanna con them.

*
Its benefit (5% Petronas fuel rebate on the 1st day and 2% on other days) does not however appeal to OCBC Titanium cardmembers, I think.

Furthermore, "no reload fee" is not too attractive, compared to other banks' GST reimbursement.

Have a question.

If I cancel my card from a certain bank because I want to switch to another card from the SAME bank, will I retain my tier?
*
If the bank deems it as an upgrade of cc, the finance charge interest rate tier is most likely to be maintained. At least it is true in my case. I got my DA Gold upgraded to DA Plat with interest rate tier unchanged.

I have viewed the second month statement of my OCBC Titanium. All the restaurant bills (including Coffee Bean), DiGi (auto debit), hypermarket (Tesco and Giant) and petrol expenses are all given 5% rebate. Hotel bill is however given 1% cash rebate. For your information, I spent quite a lot in restaurants and lounges in a hotel in Kota Kinabalu but everything was lumped into the hotel lodging bill. Next time I should pay the bills separately.
*
Thank you for your input. This clears some doubts certainly.

Nope. Card upgrade won't get GST charge.

how long will cimb approve the cc and how long to receive?

My experience told me CIMB is quite efficient in approving cc application and processing delivery.

Are TNB and TM payments have already been charged to your card? Because the branch told me it may take 1-2 months for auto-debit starts.

Btw, do you able to check TNB online service? It seems pay through OCBC online payment is considered MBF Call and Pay.
*
I faxed my TM autopay form yesterday, wonder when it will take effect.
Regarding online payment to TNB using OCBC card, I encounter the same thing.

Both the 5% & 1% rebates for my statement from 11 Sep to 11 Oct 2010 are less than my own calculations. All expenses like petrol, Giant, Tesco and Carrefour get 5% as expected, but looks like TMOnline bill payment and Jusco 1Utama Supermarket only get 1%. As for 1% rebates, I was only given max RM20 although I should get more than RM20 since my transactions were incurred in September & October.

I will write an email and see whether I can get some explanations.
*
Payment through TMONLINE is entitled to 5% rebate, I must say.
Evidence attached.

The 0% interest promo is until 31 Dec 2010. Today is 12 Oct, left 2 months and 2 weeks from expiry date.
Is your CL so low that it cannot accrue two months' spending?

Thanks for the confirmation, as I am now able to detect where Titanium failed to give 5% rebates - it was the Shell petrol station at NKVE just before the Damansara toll interchange and not TMOnline. Discounting the RM73.73 petrol from Shell NKVE, I have managed to arrive at RM60.05 5% rebates from the total of RM1201 spent rounded up.
*
That was weird. Why the Shell trxn was not given 5% cashback? hmm.gif
