Eh? But it deducts RM4 for me every month (Stated as discount for auto billing).
Do you have two TM accounts registered using your name?

Just went to TM Point last Saturday to enroll auto billing but was told only VISA gets RM2 rebate.
The form mentioned the promotion only applicable to VISA card and the promotion will ends this month.
May be I'm wrong.
*
Both are different promo...
Visa (Debit card only) --> win a Vaio
Mastercard (Debit & Credit cards) --> RM2 rebate

That RM4 is regarded as DISCOUNT not rebate?

As long the "Autopay" word is there, it should have same meaning laugh.gif

So I guess it doesn't matter which credit card you use, it's what package you subscribe. Maybe I better confirm with TM before changing my AMEX to OCBC Ti.

Added on September 27, 2010, 12:30 am

Not sure whether OCBC online got any excel file export feature for easy calculation later, some banks do have such convenience.

Yours is Blockbuster right? Under TM or Celcom?

So you're paying to TM? So good you can earn rebate via Autopay.
My package is Mobile Broadband + Streamyx, pay to Celcom. I missed its 5% rebate Autopay campaign. doh.gif

By the way, CIMB Bank has also partnered many restaurants that give 10% - 20% off total bill if you pay using their card. HSBC has many such promotions too but CIMB Bank has even more such partner restaurants.

Oh, and the bonus points required to redeem for shopping voucher is the lowest among all the banks in Malaysia too  thumbup.gif

There was a time I was in KFC Pudu. I saw a lady ordered a lot, and then the small black screen at cashier there showed RM150++. Until she took out her wallet and cash notes, I approached her and offered to pay on her behalf after explaining on the cash back stuff. She agreed. When payment completed, I gave her RM5 as a token of appreciation laugh.gif

I did this a few times already. Not everyone can accept this kind of offer. Some ppl think I am conman and walked away from me shocking.gif

8% if u spend more than 800 per month for petrol in promotion period.

Who can use that amount of petrol within a month? sweat.gif
It is still very hard to achieve even after combining all my family members' petrol consumption.

Why strive so hard to earn that 5%? An OCBC Titanium will do. thumbup.gif

Just use that card for Esso petrol for your all family members.

haha, no thanks. If OCBC is not enough, I still have DirectAccess Mastercard smile.gif

blush.gif  This is going to sound silly but ....

Do I just need to silently hand the restaurant cashier the DA/CIMB card and the 10-20% discount off the total bill will automatically be given? Or do I need to inform the cashier that his restaurant offers discount to DA/CIMB card holders?

Added on September 29, 2010, 12:52 am
I'm going to be a DA card holder too, soon, hopefully  tongue.gif

It is better to inquire the cashier or captain in advance.
However, Dragon-i and Canton-i has got a lot of CIMB/DA cardmembers dining there, I assume the cashiers are quite experienced already.

You're welcome.
As a CIMB/DA cardmember you also get to stretch your payment for insurance/hospital/education bills to 10 months at totally zero interest and zero handling fee. My parent just swiped a few k in a hospital recently. This installment plan is quite a relief for tight cash flow.

Does OCBC offer to pay the govt service tax for the Titanium MasterCard?
*
Yes, spending more than RM10k before card anniversary date will get the bank credit RM50 into your account to offset GST.
By the way, it is for subsequent years only. For new cardmember, one must pay GST for the first year.

Received call from OCBC Credit Processing Department. Said my NRIC and cc fax copies were too dark =.=
I requested to re-apply through email, and she really did give me an email! All the Customer Service officers said cannot apply via email, but this girl says can. What's going on?

You guys also can try to apply through "cap@ocbc.com". You may attach the form and supporting documents in Word/PDF/JPG format.

6/9/2010 Submitted form via fax
21/9/2010 Received call from Credit Processing Team (a sweet voice lady) that my NRIC & cc photocopy were too dark, and was asked for clearer copies. I resubmitted the form via email given by her.
30/9/2010 Called OCBC Automated Self Service and was told application was successful! rclxm9.gif

This is my experience with OCBC smile.gif

Talking about GST waiver, I inquired Citibank regarding this matter.
The officer replied that one must have substantial amount of home loan or auto loan or balance transfer maintained with Citibank, and the final decision is up to the bank. I don't have any of them, so i didn't ask what "substantial amount" means. I believe the list is not exhaustive.

I gotta say this but I may have seen so many folks coming in here and getting excited about applying so many cards and then asking for RM50 tax waiver.

Wake up guys! One of the reason the tax exist is so that the public are discouraged from holding too many cards. And in actuality it is not a waiver ... the bank pays for you. Gov still gets the money!

Hi,

Does Visa/Mastercard/JCB/Diner's Club/Amex get membership fee from the bank when the bank waived annual fee for its cardmember? smile.gif

I agree with Hye  smile.gif

btw just want to share with the rest about reloading touch n go with CC. we can actually reload touch n go at any petrol stations/kiosks that have the topup machine and have cc terminals. charge is 50 cents same if we are reloading using ATM (bank account). better than zing card as well (RM1-RM2 depending on banks)
*
If we use cc to top up TnG, the reload amount must be at least RM100 to achieve breakeven point.
My breakeven point is based on usual return rate of reward point (200 pts = RM1), ie. 0.5%.
Reload of RM100 will earn 100 pts, which in turn translates to RM0.50 upon points redemption.

Anyway, reload using Shell Gold card may save a bit more, really just a bit. sweat.gif

CIMB Bank account holders can now reload your "Touch, Wait & Go Card" without incurring any service fee via any CIMB Bank ATM that supports "Touch, Wait & Go Card" reload.
Yes, I am informed about that smile.gif . Anyway, the waiver is for ppl who use ATM card to reload.

I'm saying that because Cenkudu said "btw just want to share with the rest about reloading touch n go with CC. we can actually reload touch n go at any petrol stations/kiosks that have the topup machine and have cc terminals. charge is 50 cents same if we are reloading using ATM (bank account). better than zing card as well (RM1-RM2 depending on banks)"

He mentioned "reload using credit card, and got RM0.50 fee".
