Finally found some use for my DA VI. Today was at 1U gsc, CIMB/DA VISA cardholders gets 1 for 1 free ticket. Too bad it does not apply for 3D movies, so I had to pay full for 2 tickets to watch Resident Evil in 3D. Next time I go watch non 3D movie there can get 2 free tickets as my wife has VI too.

I received first statement for my OCBC Titanium with RM50 GST charged. But funny thing is I still haven't receive the card...

Better call OCBC to check when they sent out the card. My first card took two week via normal post. Had it cancelled and picked up new card from HQ which only took them 2 working days to issue. My advise to people applying OCBC is to go to branch and apply and have the card sent to the branch for collection.

An "informed" friend told me limiting a consumer to credit cards from two banks, and raising the minimum annual income requirements to RM24k is "very likely".
I doubt the government will limit the number of credit cards a consumer can hold. If they want to implement this, instead of limiting the number of total cards from 2 banks, what they will do most probably is limit consumers to having cards issued by 2 banks but no limit in number of cards. Why I say so is because the CL is still the same. For example, MBB you can have Visa, MC and AMEX CC where they all share the same CL.
The government is very well aware of the debt situation and many people becoming bankrupt because of credit cards and that is why they introduce the service tax last year to discourage people from having too many CC besides getting income. IMO, most likely the goverment may introduce one of the following this coming budget:
1. Increase the service tax from RM50 to RM75 or even RM100. Most people get credit card for 2 reasons - (1) for convenience and (2) for credit to buy stuffs they otherwise cannot afford. So by increasing the tax, card users will have to pay for convenience (most people only need 1 or 2 cards and to save on this tax, they can go use debit cards) and for those who need credit, what is RM50 or RM100 when can get easy thousand RM credit. By increasing the tax, the government will get more revenue.
2) As you mentioned, increase the annual income to qualify for CC. RM24K a year is reasonable.
3) Limit the total combined credit limit from all banks. The goverment can set tier for total combined CL a person can have shall be based on annual income. For example, max CL of RM10K, RM20K, RM30K for annual income RM24K-RM36K, RM36K- RM60K and RM60K-RM100K. For annual income above RM100K, CL up to bank.
4) Reduce the interest rate charged by banks again. Present 18% in just too high.
5) Worst senario, CL based on FD pledged.

wahseh... i applied ocbc titanium from an agent. I got a surprise call from the agent's husband ask me to stay away from her wife.
I sms the agent my company's address and ask whether she from sabah becoz her hp number is starting from 8. No intention to be friend or court her. Just 1 sms. Moreover i'm younger than the wife. Got no security dun be sales line lah.
Who is ocbc agent here, please pm me. i want to get other agent .
Teach you a lesson, why in the first place you have to ask personal question? And who says a person having a particular number is from a certain place? I have mobile numbers starting from 2,3,7, 8 and 9 where a few of them bought from LYN members at Garage Sale.
Anyway, why you guys must apply thru agent? The fastest way is to go to branch and if you cannot fax in your application.
