missingNO, 1.5mbps can be obtained using celcom prepaid broadband pack, i got it one, last time i try, its up to 1.5mbps provided you are not on 203.83.66.xxx IP.

now, im using weekly broadband using my postpaid line (want to full utilize my commitment - P48)
i think network congest now, in my place, there only celcom and digi 3G ISP, no other ISP, no P1, No yes, No Maxis 3g, No TM fixed line and of course no unifi!

if you test again in normal hour, i will be back to suck, believe me.. the good idea if you want to use daily or weekly bb from celcom, u need to buy their prepaid bb pack or subscribe using postpaid line. if you're in prepaid pack (xpax, blue, etc) will get .66 IP.

this is my usage when im using my postpaid line, not prepaid bb. prepaid bb cant see the usage details, but if ure one postpaid and subscribe weekly bb, then u can see the usage. but the problem is speed only 1mbps/512kbps for postpaid+weely bb while prepaid bb is 1.5mb/0.5mb.

Attached Image

as u can see, it state 64kbps but im still getting 1mbps speed after that.

currently not have idea what is subspeed mean.. i think, when subspeed occur, will be enjoy your subscription speed.. sometime it will show your quota usage.. maybe at that time the quota shown, you will be throttled if exceed usage.
since my bill cycle is on 28th, i'll use all available quota tonight (currently 4.15/5), and will see what happen...
Maybe celcom will implementing something like, quota only will be count on the day or weekday.. and you will have unlimited usage at night / weekend.. i dont know.. just guess..tongue.gif wait and look and see

you can refer the speedtest in previous post for prepaid broadband. it up to 1.5mbps download and 512kbps upload. but what u can do.. is exactly test it first.. different area will give different result... maybe u need to do some research about prepaid internet at your place.. celcom, maxis, digi and umobile...

you still will be throttled even we dont know how much actual usage, this is bad!

now, celcom bb getting worse at my area... but they the only option i have right now, as there are no maxis, p1, yes, tm fix.. only have digi 3g (below 50% strength) and celcom 3g.. i remembered when first celcom install their station here on january, i easily can get 3.6mbps.. but now..

finally celcom have fix 'subspeed' problem and now i can see my usage...

lilyginger: how your speed now? wow, customer service ask you to use edge coverage? do he/she know what gprs/edge can do? i suggest you to register an acc. at OCS, so you can monitor the usage, maybe your speed slow due to exceeding quota. there are no maxis 3G coverage in your area? if celcom too slow, maybe can consider other provider.

i used to use 4mbps streamyx at tsp skudai, now moving to new house with no tm fix line.. the speed is excellent. i miss that 5mbps speed.. for mobility maybe you can use celcom bb prepaid, while at home u use stramyx. i terminated my streamyx on oct 2010.

yes.. that is common problem.. i dont know what is the problem.. whether the hire stupid IT personnel or they just use pentium 3 server to handle OCS.. or maybe they use their self broadband for OCS?.. haha. their OCS system just shows and prove of stupidity.

Dear valued customers,

Kindly be informed that you may experience intermittent service interruption while accessing this website. We apologize for any inconvenience caused & thank you for your continuous support.

this message come from the smartest one.. so?..

for human nature,
both upload and download count is 1GB quota.. how to check? their OCS (which is defined as stupid above) or just call 1111 and ask for broadband department to check.

actually i used to 'tak sengaja' subscribe monthly plan before on my prepaid bb.. because of it appear in *118# menu. maybe in april~may.. but it only appear for 2-3days i think. after it disappear, i try to sms 'broadband monthly' and got reply RM50 for 30days access even the package not listing in menu. when i confirmed, yes.. get 30days access.. i dont know now can or cannot.. or all prepaid bb will become instanet.. monthly RM50 no longer relevant with me because im now on RM48 package..(advance - 3.6mbps - 5GB)

if this method done but still cant connect, what i can suggest to call 1111 and ask broadband department.
