for manual users, did the RPM meter goes higher when you changing the gear?
*
Its caused by the drive by wire lag. Perfectly normal smile.gif

5 years for engine? its 3 years for engine and wiring as well. reverse cam got ntg to do with wirings as they feed on bluetooth.
*
If i'm not mistaken, 1 year for mechanical parts such as window motor, starter, etc, 3 years for electrical and wiring, and 5 years only for engine and gearbox

QUOTE(SiuYi @ Sep 9 2010, 09:05 PM)
a panic brake wont stop ur ride, but it will act like there's no brake at all.
*
This is true for all vehicles without ABS. A panic brake will cause your brake pads to clamp onto the discs, thus causing the wheels to lock and not move at all. Because of that, the car momentum will cause the car to skid, and the remaining braking power your car will have is between the tyres and the road, which isnt much if there is water in between them.

But with ABS, then it detects brake lock (car tyre not moving, even tho car is still moving), it'll kick in and start working. How it works? It takes over control of your brakes and releases it, so that the wheel can start spinning again and gain back traction with the road. It'll then brake in pulses, to allow the car to brake normally and slow the car down, but it does it in pulses because sometimes when it brakes, if it detects lock again, it will release the brake again.

So ABS is only activated when you do an emergency braking (panic brake). If you do not have ABS, then you have to drive with skill and never stomp on your brakes, so that your car wheels will not lock up and causing your car to skid.

Guys, any1 here had alarm problem before?

Just now for no reason, suddenly i can no longer arm the alarm. When i press as usual to lock the car, instead of 'tuut tuut' twice and lock, it goes 'tuut tuut tuut tuut tuut tuut' then stop, but no lock sad.gif. And now i can no longer arm and lock the alarm sad.gif

Open all ur doors and boot lid and slam it as hard as possible. I'm serious, most probably due to boot lid.
*
thanks for the reply!
i'll give that a try smile.gif
come to think of it, right before this problem happened i opened and closed my boot lid

That is nothing la.
Try having a broken windscreen and a broken foglamp in the same month where both needs to be replaced. My air conditioning system smells musty and the power steering fluid is leaking.
Mileage? 8k kms.
*
Not as bad as your i guess but im having a cracked windscreen now too due to rock hitting it.
Gotta claim insurance to replace it. Holding out as long as possible tho

Anyone knows what are the cheaper ones that can fit the SAGA BLM? smile.gif

dn't get cheaper one...it's the windscreen for god sake
and remember to get a good tint after this....so it doesn't easily crack
mine always hit by rock but never had any issue of cracking...u need something to hold on to the windscreen
*
It must've been quite a rock cause I'm using the tint which came with my stock saga BLM.
Maybe after this i should use security tint tongue.gif

Went to Brothers and got a cheap stock looking antenna. Slightly longer and thinner than the original Saga's, but cost RM28 only smile.gif.
