hey guys, my car is about to go for 20k service. whats the average price for the major service? for outside or Proton SC.

anyone could advise what we need/compulsory to change for 20k major service...?
btw, mine is saga blm auto..
if ask SC guys, for them, everything need to change lor...

1.engine oil + oil filter + gasket
2.coolant
3.gear oil
4.brake fluid
5.spark plug
6.air filter

for brake fluid and coolant is it compulsory to change or just re-add or change when 40k service...?
i saw from proton after sales website brochure stated there for 20k major service need to spend RM600..fuhhh...
is it anything that stated in brochure need to change...?
so i need advise from you all regarding this question espc who already had done 20k service.

for me....semi syn is good enough....never tried full syn be4 cuz too expensive
but will try next time
BTW..on my car....i prefer shell over petronas
very big different for me
i tested many times
petronas....around after 4.5K....the engine already starting to become very noisy......giving u notice that "it's time to service"
but after i switched to the shell HX-7....hit 7k ...the engine still very smooth....no "notice for service"
i usually used until 8k+ only i do service...can go over that but i dn't want to do it

new car....your FC is normal
do more service thn your FC will become better overtime

what do u mean by "they change accordingly that's why mine was rm39x instead of rm4xx", what they changed?
i know,if go SC everything need to change, that's why asking here what actually most recomended/compulsory to change. haha.. but if go outside, warranty will void..

but i planned to reduce the cost by change for necessary only coz i saw in service book, no need to change brake fluid and coolant during 20k service but in after sales brochure all need to change...

Yup.. he even call the office infront of me to ask the people in his office to block the car I wanted.
It only takes 1 week for my loan to approve and then he call me back and say no more stock
and ask me if I want to buy the M-line A/T or SE

so I say, I'll get back to him on that. Still thinking of what to do now.

guys can BLM reach 180kmh or further? what will be the RPM reading during this speed?

BLM rev cut is 7k flat, if really reach that @ 5th gear can get 210km/h flat.   For 5th gear, every 1k increase in RPM = +30km/h.

Just done my 10k service. The SC put in Syntium 800 15/50W. Means I need an oil change at 15k? Or i can skip to 20k for next service?

guys, my left hand site fog lamp suddenly no light d...can this claim warranty for new one ah?haha..

my fog lamp also terbakar lar i think right side one, many people rply same to their blm  
this fog lamp can change free or kna duit at sc???
one more thing, when reach 12okm/h my car will gegar2..what problem haa? last 1st service i already ask them to do balancing

Do on wheel balancing will solve your problem.

On wheel balancing will settle the gegar gegar thing.... no prob up to 170++km/h. btw bro, u install front rear strut? what about rear arb?

i still go service every 5k....just that engine oil change every 10 nia....

You can try that. I did so many times before, i only manage to get what the spec stated, minimum 6L/100km @ 90km/h. That time is 1000km mileage car, so i drove from JB to Ipoh at highway @ 90km/h max. Now i normally drive no more than 3.4k rpm @ 105km/h. what i get is slightly higher FC 6.1-6.3L/100km.

Yup, you are right, JB to Ipoh total is 550km and without refilling along the route, 90% @ 105km/h, another 10% is 105-120km/h. Only can pump in 33.XL when arrive Ipoh.

Trust me, the FC for this car is correct as stated @ specification, only if u willing to drive <110km/h at highway, but i don't think alot of u doing this. What i read is at least 140km/h.

Well, am planning on the front strut and rear arb as well.....how about autofoam? am using the wtf helix 5w-40....proton sc mah....
yeah, did ipoh-kuantan 5++ km (via btg kali) around 100-110 except for btg kali to genting sempah where i did 2-3 gear shifting a lot....reach kuantan still have 2 bars and did town driving for around 80-100 before lights come on....

Now more air is easy to reach combustion chamber, of course ECU will give more fuel to mix with, thats why FC go down. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Open port not noisy ka? I read alot of them said the air sucking sound is damn noisy...

ya, for open pod will sure hear a loud noise of the air sucking sound. last time i did once in my Myvi, but cannot tahan. coz when speed constantly then sound is very loud. but it is very nice when u pick up 

Agree with u bro. Our Saga engine when high rev it, it will roar louder then the Myvi engine. But when in high speed is more fun to go compare to Myvi. 

Sound is syok. Easy to rev is more important  . Mayb can try drop in performance air filter. Not bad also ma.

Which equates to RM0.167/km.
With air cond switched on?
