Adam's tablet..have not seen coming out yet. It's 10 inch tablet which I feel it's a bit big..

Still prefer to go for 7 inch tablets. Samsung Galaxy Tab, heard is launching this month...and so is CSL MI700..

hehehe...guessed they have to get magnifying glass...

to me, 7 inch tablet is just fine. In case the text are a bit small, can always zoom and enlarge the fonts. It's great to have as companion to reply quick emails, watch videos or read some articles/news on the move. Not really meant for heavy duty stuff...

It will serve as a travelling companion for me..rather then having to carry the heavy notebook..hehe.

so far not yet...very quite at CSL..but expected this month...maybe after Hari Ray or end Sept...

Then, it is confirmed that CSL MI700 is "not" manufactured in Malaysia...they just bring in the OEM and rename to their own brand CSL ?

I wonder when Malaysia will come out with their OWN tablet and proudly say " Buatan Malaysia " and Malaysia Boleh.. but right now, I don't think so..

We have a good spec but insane priced Samsung Galaxy Tab;
CSL Spice MI700 still pending for release and 'might be' twin brother, Olive Pad from India;
Archos Android Tablet running Android 2.2 Froyo;
Bunch of tablets from mainland China running Android 1.6 or lower;

What I felt is that we'll still have to wait longer for an affordable tablet with descent spec...

Not long...by end year or early next year, there will be more coming out.

they are aiming at samsung galaxy tab.just wait till more tablet like this to arrive before comparing.

the only tablet that can make call that i know is S.Galaxy Tab(the letdown is the price) and CSL droidpad(600mhz:p).

All the software developers are very busy changing their software to cater for the coming explosion of tablets, if u buy now u will have to endure some are not compatible.
If u wait further then Gingerbread will be the better OS for tablets, but then again I CANNOT wait ma. Imagine all the fun and thrill I miss while waiting, so I just got hold of a CSL MI 700. Really love it, wow playing NEED FOR SPEED Shift is really exciting and fun, just try it and u will know what I am talking about.
I am surprise that web browsing using Dolphin HD was really snappy, just luv it that 600 Mhz is not a problem maybe save by Froyo.
Problem now, still no Flash cos still in beta stage........ ah ya cannot play texas poker in facebook.

RM 1599 but I paid RM 1700 for an extra 16G sd card instead of the 4G in the package with a TECH bluetooth clip-on hand-free included free of charge.

Ya, malaysian product sort of, I think manufactured in China by Foxcomm but packaged and rebrand by CSL with some of their own software. I could be wrong, maybe manufactured here by CSL cos they are also manufacturing the JooJoo tablet by Fusion of Singapore. Actually u don't need these software cos Google market place got plenty and better ones. But u do need the local warranty and service if anything happens to your set. I registered online and got 6 months extra ie 1 1/2 year warranty. The service center in Low Yat is quite good, they attend to some minor problem in my MapKing gps software.

yes price not low ... rm 1500+ can get aple ipad . 

and phone feature on a 7inch tablet??
i prefer dell 5" phone compact and easy to put into pocket

By the way, Adam's tablet looks promising but i think won't be able to see it this year..perhaps maybe very end of Dec or even 1st Quarter next year..

Price won't be that cheap if it comes with the Pixel Qi screen.

for those who want to wait : next year - Asus, MSI - coming...both 10 inch tablets.

Since the unit made by Foxconn and OEM to CSL, the MI700 should be much higher quality build than those unknown brand out there manufactured by unknown manufacturer.

Since the tablet market over here is new and with good potential, it's better for CSL to further reduce the price to within RM1000 - RM1200 to capture the early adopter tablet market buyer out there. Once the bigger names come in, MI700 will be quickly forgotten overnight.
