Who said KDE overly complex & confusing ?
U never try openSUSE KDE. KDE done right.
Gnome default setup is more confusing. First thing i do is remove 'aplications place system' menu bar and replace with 'the main gnome menu'. Then delete bottom panel, move top panel to bottom.
