Hi guys,

Been through the forum liao and narrow to this few selection.
also been to shops to scout around.
Wanna ask on which would be a better choice for lcd tv.

1) Toshiba 42ZV600e
2) Samsung LA40C650
3) Sony KDL-40EX500
4) Panasonic TH-L42D25K (LED LCD)

Mostly usage is for Astro (sports) and PS3 games.
need advice from all the sifus here.
thanks ya.

If I were you I would buy the Toshiba 42ZV600e, I am currently in the process of buying an LCD, and was looking at the Samsung LA40C650, but the presales service has been terrible and I am worried if the presales is bad, what the after sales will be like.

So far this is wha has happend

I recently (+- 5 - 6 weeks ago) order my Samsung LA40C650 from my supplier, when I ordered it, I was told it would take 3 - 5 weeks to arrive and that it should arrive at the latest on the 11 August 2010, I have been following up regularly with them, last week (5 August 2010) I was told that they had contacted Samsung and that Samsung confirmed that the ETA was still the 11 August.

Well, 11 August came and went and I still dont have my Samsung LA40C650, I am very dissapointed as Samsung have offered no explaination as to where my screen is, HOWEVER I have now been given a new eta of +- 3 weeks, date has not been confirmed and Samsung have not gotten back to my supplier as yet as to 'exact date'. I am of the opinion that Samsung has probably given my screen to someone else and hense the reason I need to wait another 3 weeks, so that they can get one in for me :-(

My greatest problems are such.

1. No appologise from Samsung.
2. It would seem that Samsung do not care as they have not offered any kind of alternative solution.
3. If this is the kind of customer service a person is getting before I get it, what kind of service will one get if something goes wrong?

samsung's after sales service for my out-of-warranty CRT tv is excellent. not only did they come to my house to get it fixed, i got a follow up call from their call centre to check if everything was okay, and if i had any feedback, positive or negative!

definitely gonna buy samsung again...

I don't know about Samsung but Korean service ethics are way behind the Japanese.
In business / trading, Koreans are "Hau Sui Tor Kor Cha" and trust worthiness is questionable.
However, Iris, Sassy Girl and Winter Sonata excite even non-Korean speaking fans by the millions.

When my Panasonic delivery was late for 3 days, I managed to squeeze Best Denki / Panasonic for Free 1.5L Thermos (~RM100 plus)

1st of all, u buy directly from Samsung? Samsung dont sells directly to consumer.. Even their Samsung brand shop is owned by 3rd party..

I think ur case is that the dealer/reseller is not checking stock availability then confirm ur purchase.. It is dealer's fault, not samsung..

Or worst case, Customer go to check the price everywhere for lowest price.. Non-samsung dealer may give u the best price, but u get the service u paid for
