 [WTA] Will this void my warranty ?, SiS Distribution Malaysia

Will doing this void my warranty on my HTC Hero ?
1) Rooted it
2) i flashed the recovery with a custom recovery image

please guide me smile.gif thanks

i believe so. u can always try to find the original recovery that came with the phone and do a nandroid backup to keep the original rom before u flash the recovery and rom.

but i might be wrong though. smile.gif

Yes. It will.

But you can always flash back the RUU when you're about to claim warranty.

You can flashback to original but the boot loader remains unlocked. The service centre can detect whether boot loader is unlock. However htc seems to be more generous , I , myself and few others had claimed warranty foc even if phones rom tampered with. Can't say for other brands. I am saying for phones sent in to htc service center not sis. Sis is only authorized reseller
