I enjoyed playing Bioshock 1, short as it was, more than the hyped Half Life 2. Can't wait for Infinity.

I think this is the best game trailer I've ever seen.

Normally trailers are all beautiful.. but when comes to real game.. It looks lik shiat..

I think the graphics should be the same as this trailer, it's not pre-rendered. Pre-scripted maybe, but all the graphics rendered in real-time.

inception's plot is pretty easy. memento's plot is hard. infinite is somewhere in between.

Bioshock Infinite's plot is very similar to a certain sci-fi TV drama's...

I still love the game, but calling it a GOTY? No way. I think it doesnt deserve getting 96 average score as well, as this game barely break any new grounds in terms of tech and gameplay, compared to other 90+ average games like Company of Heroes, Half Life 2, Portal 2 and Mass Effect 2.
*
Really depends on the person. I didn't enjoy Half Life 2. Never finished it. And I don't like Portal puzzle games, even though the Portal 2 story was good.

Personally I enjoyed Bioshock Infinite more than any other single-player FPS game so far. For me it's the fun factor. I actually had fun playing Infinite. Yes, it's not hard, but neither was the original Metal Gear Solid that could also be completed in 8 hours.

I do enjoy it for what it offers now, but it is just disappointing that it isnt similar to what is shown in the E3 videos with those short little character bonding moments.
*
Yeah not sure why they removed those, but there are actually still plenty of bonding scenes.

For example in the Shantytown bar, Booker can pick up a guitar, and Elizabeth will start singing... a small child who was hiding appear under the staircase and accept a fruit from Elizabeth.

Well considering that almost 90% of the game they are already together and have enough dialogue, I guess the makers didn't think to add much longer chats.

My first playthrough I used Medium. Planning to replay the game on Hard/1999 mode? Any tips? Like what weapon should I be using and which Vigors should I focus on?

About Dishonored being a better game? Nuh-uh. No way. I completed Dishonored and while it was fun, the story was no-where near Infinite's. People complain about no interaction between Booker/Elizabeth, there was even less interaction between Corvo and everybody in Dishonored since he was practically mute the whole game.

Anyway on my current replay of Infinite I am exploring almost every nook and cranny. Listening to almost every conversation and just admiring the architecture and artwork.

I think they did use in game footage. I mean it doesn't look pre-rendered, just that the final game changed a lot.

Edit: Other games suffer from this too. E.g. this is an early trailer of TF2: the Demoman has a throwing bomb that never made it in the final game or updates.

That Bioshock trailer was in 2011, it's not surprising things would have changed 2 years hence.

I think the 2-weapon carrying limit is enough considered you can carry all the Vigors anyway. If they let you carry every weapon at the same time it'd be less challenging.

Also in Bioshock 1, the character speaks only 1 line in the entire game. I could never actually relate to my character compared to Booker in Infinite.

The hacking minigame was interesting, but unrealistic that you can start hacking stuff in the middle of a fight.

Bioshock also had smaller tighter dark areas that made me clautraphobic.

I gotta say I love the crow vigor a lot, especially with upgrade, more death, more spammed crow trap..
I love Crow Vigor too. Very good for crowd control.

But I think my favourite is Return to Sender. Great against those Handy Man bastards. tongue.gif

I felt Bioshock1 combat was better for me. No limit to how many guns you can use and the vigors are more fun

I like hacking turrets as well instead of just turning them to my side

In BI, fighting Patriot was boring. Handyman was better although still not as fun as Big Daddy
*
Bioshock 1 felt a bit too easy because you could carry all the guns. Not much strategy involved, just use low-tier weapons, and keep ammo for heavy weapons until you reach some strong bad guy. In L4D/L4D2 you also only have 2 projectile weapons you can carry about otherwise it'd be too easy as well.

Imagine the first time you are in the last battle but you are using the wrong guns in BI2, you're then forced to pick up those guns that drop from the enemies if you want to win
*
Actually I don't need to imagine, I didn't have strong weapons at the end. But luckily the enemies do drop weapons and Elizabeth can tear some weapons/supplies in. So I kept switching weapons and using mainly the lightning and crow vigors to beat the enemies.
