QUOTE(dizluzion @ Oct 17 2010, 04:57 PM) I've checked. Shashinki also doesn't have stock. Says "Stock Status: 1~2 weeks for delivery (depending on supplier stock)". Could it be true that D3100s are really in shortage? Judging from the trend.. i think it is true, but if you want, just order it and wait.. its better than doing nothing and wait for the camera to reach the shop as it would take more time. Just my opinion |

QUOTE(zellleonhart @ Oct 22 2010, 03:20 PM) Walao @@ That will cost more than my body+lens currently. I'm not getting paid, just helping and he will give me his new designs as a gift. So I don't think I'll invest... Unless I quit study and become a full time photographer LOL, which is not possible =S Why not discuss with him and see if he can offer or help you with anything? Remember to share the photo here ya |

QUOTE(zellleonhart @ Oct 22 2010, 08:27 PM) No he's not a photographer and he doesn't know anything much about photography... I told him I only have very simple gears and cannot shoot like a studio shooting, he said it's ok, budget shooting first. If you dont have flash light.. i think maybe can replace it with some bulb? or any light source? But dunnoe later will need or not. If need he needs to bear with it or hire other photographer, unless I'm pro enough to shoot creatively with only one flash. Well that doesn't matter yet. BTW his new brand is not yet launched, so not so soon... Later when I started shooting I will post =D Curi curi copy ppl idea at flickr oso can QUOTE(mastering89 @ Oct 23 2010, 01:07 AM) hi, i have a friend interested to get D3100 or a33 or dslr+kit which is below rm2.5k for his first dslr. please share ur opinion regarding this. also does the Nikon Center at times sq have a demo D3100 and to testdrive, tomorrow wanna stop by there IMO D3100 is a good choice for beginner. I'm D3000 user myself and i envy the gap in improvement between this 2 model. Iso noise control, HD video recording, Better image sensor. D3100 is totally worth for your friend, just that it dont have built-in-motor which will not be able to auto-focus with non-AFS lens. which i can say is the worst part and i don't know why NIKON did this. Whether which system is suit for your friend, i think he should do more research about lenses for the future~ |

QUOTE(edwardgsk @ Oct 25 2010, 01:07 AM) F2 is an old old lens, but bloody fantastic IQ and it has the closest focus range Nikon ever built. Ic.. thanks for the info.. But is 35mm 1.8G acceptable for a newbie? its a huge sum of cash for a student like me to invest... I check the review from dpreview and the result is quite positive. but from some sifu in this forum, they say nvr buy it because of soft-ness in image = =The new AF-S 35 f/1.4G has overpowered this lens now tho, but price is multiple times more expensive as it comes with Bigger aperture, built in motor and Nano coating. |

QUOTE(edwardgsk @ Oct 25 2010, 01:31 AM) If you still can find 35mm f/2, of course that would be a better choice. If not, 35mm f/1.8G is also ok de. Those pro say it's soft is because they used to those razor sharp images produced from those high end lens, that why. I see.. thanks for the info~ but f2 cant auto focus with dx body?By using f/1.8G, at least you don't have to manual focus lo. QUOTE(fcuk90 @ Oct 25 2010, 01:57 AM) test it out bro . sincerely for rm799 +/- My aunty shop is giving me about 780 for that lens.. is it a good buy? heheit is a good lens for DX camera without the AF motor . tried it before , nice lens , but i m still holding my purchasing power . |
