QUOTE(zhan @ Aug 26 2010, 03:00 AM) Thanks! Well, I have been hearing a lot of good review on iPad's battery. It's just makes me more dying to get an iPad. With good battery life, it can always last you till you back home to charge it. I was at the airport weeks ago and I saw a carefree person holding their iPad doing some reading without the need of connecting with the power supply. Making me damn jealous while I need to get power supply for my laptop. Hey, do you bring your iPad to lecture class? I mean with all the lecture slides (PPT. format) sync into your iPad and just read it from your iPad. I like the part on cannot multi-tasking like netbook, but what if you need to jot down some notes beside the slides, means u can only write it down with pen and paper beside your iPad? or I can jot down some light notes beside the slides. Please advice, thanks. Personally I kind of regretted getting the iPad, since I work in an office most of the time and i have like 3 laptops, the iPad has been turned to more of a referral type of device for me, referral meaning referring to notes/slides/documents during meetings, keeping track of notes and checking Twitter/Facebook on it. Bought Pages with it and contemplating getting Keynote but unsure whether I should bite the bullet on it or not.

QUOTE(stacko @ Dec 2 2010, 11:55 AM) My colleague has iPhone 3GS on Maxis iValue plan. He is asking me how he can use iPad to connect to the Internet with iPhone iValue plan? Does he need to get additional devices/modem or he only needs to configure settings: in iPhone or in iPad? He can try asking Maxis at the Maxis center that he wants to use the SIM sharing service. Get Maxis to issue a new micro sim card and you should use it for the iPad. Technically for SIM sharing services, voice calls would be the one affected meaning either sim can be the one picking it up but since the iPad is purely for data purposes only, then it works that way. But with Maxis launching their own iPad plans, they might not provide that service.

QUOTE(k3v1n @ Dec 7 2010, 01:53 PM) Hi all, i got a questions to ask! if im going to get a Ipad wifi only, can i use my iphone 3GS to do internet tethering? One way is to get sim-sharing with your existing plan on your iPhone 3Gs and you can share data. Only thing is that you need to be on the unlimited data plan for that to work.
