All Malaysia Ipad have the same model number correct?

The story is like this, yesterday my friend bought an Ipad from one of his friends. The friend says that it's a Malaysia SET. The funny part is, he said that there aren't any warranty for it BECAUSE IT'S A MALAYSIA SET (yea i know it's real bullshit ). My friend pulak, due to long time friends, just chose to trust him and didnt ask much. Worst still, he paid rm2550 for 32gb 3g+wifi, which is rm300 more expensive than the price that Machines is selling

Feeling suspicious, I took the Ipad over from him and started to investigate. Went to Settings>General>About>... and here's what it shows:

Version: 3.2.2 (7B500)

Carrier AT&T 6.0

Model: MC496LL

Serial number: GB041QD8ETU

Can Anyone kindly clarify whether is this a MALAYSIA SET??

Hi bro the link that you gave me, https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do...... I enter the serial number and select any country and the result are the same... it's not telling me the unit's origin.
