Nice article.

After using iPad for a few weeks, I think that the article is spot on.
Still need my Dell XPS M1330 - sweet laptop. Have to take both for the long trips.

If you go for short trip and you want your XPS with you, i suggest you to try remote access 'LogMe In'.

hello,

Does anyone of you uses zagg screen protector? I find its very expensive (cost around RM299 per sheet)

Is it recommended to apply both side?

Interesting video but $30???
No thanks, however on the same video page, in the comments there is the 'teamviewer' which is free.
Downloading it and will give it a try.

Thanks for the tip.

@zhou86: It's not really the iPad's fault that it doesn't play HD videos, however, it's able to play HD 720p videos but it stutters a little bit through VLC Media Player for iPad.

@HW-Racer: Even though I knew that once Apple launched the iPad.
Other competitors would be racing to launch their Android-enabled tables/pads/slates.
However, what sold me off to the iPad was the 9.7" IPS-Panel Capacitive touchscreen and vast availability of apps from the App Store (over 200,000 apps) which are very useful for me to kill time. Btw, if not mistaken, the Android Market (Android's-equivalent of the App Store) has only around 100,000 apps, half of the App Store. Do note that most of the apps in the App Store are paid apps but free version of the paid apps (in terms of trial-basis/limited functions) are available.

Haha..agree so... The ipad battery power is indeed impressive... Watch Movies like 45mins, read pdf or PNG comic 45 mins.. Play 1 hour plus games... Surfing Net like 1 hour..

I just feels like if i do all the above on my laptop.. The battery life already going down under 60%.

Ipad could possibly make it around 80% or more.. I seldom worry about its battery life.. Not like the worry i usually did on a laptop.

Ipad could make it around 85% to 90% with the above activities i had done.

@killerapp: I can obtain a minimum of 10 hours on general web browsing (through Wi-Fi). At maximum, there would be 4 tabs open.

after having the ipad for some time, i must say there are some flaws that i hope apple can manage to overcome with the next revision.

1. ipad kinda takes some tolls at my hands after holding it for an extended period. keep the size, but not the weight apple, make it lighter! tongue.gif

2. copy and paste is so hard and practically useless in the current os. hopefully next time we can copy and paste like we are used to when using window.

but i need to applaud apple for some great features that ipad has.

1. impressive battery life...for now. Not sure if it can hold up that much once multitasking is available, but the battery life so far is just marvelous and nothing to complain. charging time is very fast also, kudos to apple.

2. abundant apps at disposal. practically you can find everything you want i think. hmm, are we gonna see microsoft office at app store soon? if that materializes, im sure people will be ditching apple iwork for it.

Err, that isnt the meaning im trying to convey. When u quoted my message to reply me, my message was too long so the quote bubble will only show fraction of the messsage. On pc, when we see the quote bubble, we can click on an arrow sign in the quote bubble to reveal the rest of the message while i dont think it is possible to do this when using ipad.
