NDSL? you mean nintendo DS lite? that is resistive touch screen right?
ipad is capasitive touch screen right?

if i m true then anyway the point is i dun think ipad will detect pressure since capasitive screen only detect static electric from our fingers.
(except steve jobs comes out a special pen that can transfer pressure information to ipad directly.)

and about the 2 prgoram you mentioned...
autodesk sketchbook looks like adobe photoshop...a bit laggy thou...but draw slower will be no problem haha.
and another one brushes....err...that one can record every stroke you draw...and smoother...maybe functions is lesser....not sure yet...because every users have different usages. whistling.gif

Thanx man.. Finally something make me interested in Brushes app. I spent a few days watched a few different apps for drawing. All looks quite smooth when drawing. Some artists got mentioned a bit lag for sketch pro.

I am going to try brushes.
I saw the way how they did the painting is the way i "hate" most... I mean by layers...haha.. I prefer one layer do everything.
Did u saw a youtube video a japanese guy customize a pen using snack paper.. cut out 4 stripes ..

The strokes is soooo smooth. Feels like wacom technology on ipad...

It's a DIY video done by Japanese. Credit to his cool DIY.

I tried using finger direct contact with the ipad screen. I feel finger kind of 'stuck'. Prefer to have a smooth finger movement on ipad.

Which screen protector can preserve the screen clarity and sensitivity at its best still?

i think icedlink did mentioned "matte" type is better than "glossy" type...anyway gotta put screen protector if you use stylus haha...if just use fingers can feel off it XD
my ipod touch already naked for long times laugh.gif
(edit: i always messed up glossy and matte sp rclxub.gif )

by the way, what casing you use for ipad? or you just leave ipad naked? mine got free silicone case from seller..but the case is sticky for hair and dusk...i gonna find another case for ipad or leave it naked...when i saw the price for case in those shop i already rclxub.gif

if u really want to preserve the screen contrast and clarity - glossy is the way to go.
the down side u'll get lots of finger prints , may be some times rubbery feel when swiping fingers

matt is nice, get a good one that retains the sharpness and contrast ( good doesn't always mean expensive and like wise )
its nicer to draw if ur using dagi stylus, much lesser finger prints, way smoother finger swipes, but u'll get the sparklin* kind of look ( this applies to all matt sp be it the el cheapo to powersupport )

but in the end its up to personal preference. just go and have a look at both = )

@agito666 well i can bulk buy not a probem and post to ppl to, but i just need the numbers .. and lazy to ask around if ppl wan or not...
why buy 2 ? i have 2 hands = ) lol

@silverhawk = pen like stylus u mean pointy type ?
i dun think its really possible . if it is, it will be heavy and expensive and it will need some form of charge (power/battery to use it as it will need enough -ve charge at the tip.)

Doesn't have to be perfectly pointy, as long as I can "feel" the tip, should be good enough. You know anywhere with styluses that we can go to test/take a look?

fingerprint-less sp

What brand/model?

I'm using the one by SGP Stenheil. Since its Anti-fingerprint and anti-glare, that means the protector is a "matte" surface, which reduces the clarity and sharpness a bit. Though I don't feel it effects it too much, it still looks good. The matte texture also gives it a nice feeling when using your fingers to go move around. Finger print marks are almost non-existant and the anti-glare is really useful (makes things more readable).

@podrunner:
VPNs meaning Virtual Private Networks, can encrypt and tunnel all Internet traffic to your machine. The iPad VPN supporting the L2TP, PPTP, or Cisco IPSec VPN protocols, can help you access private information through public network securely.

To use VPN on iPad, you need to configure VPN first. Here is the tip on how to setup.

Configure VPN:
Tap Settings > General > Network > VPN > Add VPN Configuration. Then use the VPN settings for your device.
* Server = your computer's external IP or hostname.
* Account = your account login
* RSA SecurID = OFF
* Password = your account password
* Secret = computer's secret, chosen during set-up.
* Send all traffic = ON

Turn VPN on or off

If you have created a VPN configuration, you would find the option to turn VPN on or off in the Settings.

First disable Wi-Fi on iPad, then start VPN in the settings. Wait until it finishes connecting and the status bar would has the VPN icon.

Note: iPad will drop VPN whenever changing the networks.

Previously I thought the same like you.

Do remember that you'll need to pay around 6.5% GST (government sales tax) on the spot when you get it from us. I got mine at 499 + 35 usd. It's not cheap after all. blush.gif

Me too.. kind of confuse sometimes. Need to think a while before i answer to someone.

by the way, what casing you use for ipad?
Now i left it naked. I just had it for a week. I survey alot of cases in google. In the end, i prefer a book-style + stand. Not sure where i can have a real look. Everything in a package~!

Anyway, I visited to Epic center, Pavillion.  Not much choices that i like..

*
Icedlink,
Arigato! Very informative explanation. So, matte screen protector material will provide better feeling for our finger to move on the screen, rite?
Any ideal matte screen protector that you can recommend?

I saw a few types of screen protector from Capdase at Epic center. THe highest price cost Rm15x... The lowest around Rm6*. I roughly remembering the price.

I am curious the higher price means Quality is guarantee?!

p/s: I bought the Brushes eventually. The pressure sensitivity is "there".. Haha... Feeling interesting to draw with finger. I hope there is a way for shortcut color picker button..Like three finger to 'pick' color instead of popping up the menu.

Need to explore a new way to paint!.. Its a revolution in digital art-making..

Guess i might need a pen if i keep painting like this way.

This is good explanation. I'm using the same quality sp and find it reduces the quality display of an iPad comparing to my friend's iPad using normal sp. My finger sweat a lot, so I have to use this kind of sp.

Reading on iPad is important to me. I could stay on and iPad for 3 hours straight. So this sp kind of match me.

what do i recommend ?
"I am curious the higher price means Quality is guarantee?!"
simple answer NO

its a strategy sales people usually employ higher price = premium
usually true but thats not always the case.
consumers will tend to believe it and most probably thinks that way too.
as its natural that after paying such a price he/she will think its some how diffrent
even if its the same thing. (i remember seeing a documentary on this one.)

nowadays they are making huge huge profit out of simple things
and SP is one of it. and apple related accessories ( 1xx just for a plastic mold just because it fits ur iDevice - and yes I fell for it too x P )

I've personally seen and now used quite a few Sp's and frankly
i dont think any screen protector is worth 1xx ( hard earn money )

if ur really into trying matt since ur willing to shell out 1xx
i recommend you to just use rm20+ get one from a LYN forumer here
and believe me it fits the screen to the T . even powersupports cutting isnt that good.

as for a clear screen protector i've yet to see one thats truly clear. meaning that u cant see even the slightest hint of rainbow effect + employs hydrophobic coatings.

my 2cents ..
