I always fail to understand if one can afford to buy a RM 2000+ gadget, why one cannot afford to pay for apps software which cost Rm3 to RM10 generally?? It is not like he is going to buy a thousand apps .
It is not a matter of rich or poor. It is the mentality that " why pay when you can get it free honestly or dishonestly ?? This is a disease and a growing one in many developing economies It is the same mentality I see in guys willing to spend RM2000 to Rm3000 on a smartphone but cringe when need to spend a maximum of RM30 on data plan In my younger days mid 20+ I used to write software and I do feel the pain when it is being copied /modified and use without my approval even though it is free. So I always believe we should support developers - it is a chicken and egg situation. Without support will the developers continue to improve their software ? And dino was right to say , we are talking about few ringgit software not hundreds or thousand ringgit |

QUOTE(Agito666 @ Dec 3 2010, 12:53 AM) I am still using my Digi prepaid ( RM2/day plan ) and has no intention of changing as all the areas I usually go to has good reception. Infact nowadays I seldom use the line . It is now more of a " emergency" option when others in my family might need to use itI use my Android phone and thether with the iPad if I need the 3G service . I am on a postpaid unlimited data plan so I need not worry about exceeding the limit. Only disadvantage the phone battery takes a higher toll - about 15 % on an hour usage but again I rarely need to spend so much time online. If I plan to spend so much time above an hour, I always try to find a WiFi spot |

sigh, not so related to ipad but my friends who own iphone 4 keep blaming their iphone for apps crashing and they have none to blame but themselves because they dont figure out there is one thing called multitasking in iphone. they seemed to be shocked when i pointed out that to them.
another funny thing is when they got their phone they tend to ask the staff to transfer free songs to them and it gets them off the wall then they try to transfer newer songs into their iphones and found out the songs available in their iphones have gone. seriously, if you dont know how to use iphone and i wanna own one, please know the basic functions. you are not putting the phone into good use if u got an iphone and that is what i call money wasting... sigh, so many new features in iphone and those showoff wannabes dont know how to utilize them. |

wow...so many noobs flaming around here...hope i wont get flame for these noobie questions.
1) i know there's multitask function. problem is each apps which has been open will not close when the home button is press. i can only close it permanently at the....multitask bar (not sure what's it really call). i find this kinda troublesome. is there a way i can close the apps permanently wifout it going into background instead? 2) how can i create new folder/album for my photos? all the photos i downloaded from the net is grouped into one single folder - Saved Photo. i would like to organize it into multiple album/folder instead. thanks |

Apple device are not really call multi tasking. Its more a switcher. A multi tasking is many apps running at a time but what apple device does is put on hold the others and only let you run 1. When u switch the last apps will be put on hold too.
From my experience folder can be sorted via itunes |

Talking about spending money on the games, I don't really see an issue at all. Most of my games and apps are USD 0.99, even my normal meal in KL costs more than that.
If my USD 0.99 can keep everything moved and the developers developed, I don't mind spending this small amount of money. I'm not rich. I'm just a girl who is willing to spend on her gadgets. |

maybe because we are here in malaysia... ppl always think... if we can get it for free, why we need to spend out hard earned money to buy it? Do you buy original DVD or pirated DVD? For me, maybe once in a while i will get original DVD if the movie is really good... Yea..$0.99 might be a small amount for u.. but will u ask urself sometime... everyone around u is getting for free... and you need to pay for it? and people around you might laugh at you... or ppl around you will think ppl in developed countries with stronger buying power will all buy original apps .. just my $0.02..haha |

If your current financial status doesn't allow you to purchase original apps/software, then you shouldn't be buying the iPad in the first place.
