Just came back from www.weiphone.com
People from there stated that they're facing 'battery drain faster' problem once they
upgraded from 3.2.X to 4.2.1 !

For those already upgraded, any comment about this ?

for ipad的ios4.2日前终于发布了，这个苹果看似很美，将原本只在ip4上的多任务、文件夹等统统都搬过来了，还有GameCenter、 Airplay、AirPrint等众多的新功能。。很多网友迫不可待地升级了自己的ipad，背包属于比较理智的那种，看着网友升级后爆出的 ios4.2 for ipad的种种bug,还是静观其变为好。

以下是各网友汇报的Bug（都是血的教训啊）：

1.ios4.2虽然支持多任务，但是如果你使用的程序本来不支持多任务的话（例如qq），那么虽然打开后进入了后台任务列表，这程序退出后再进入依然是需要重新初始化（伪多任务？），现在大部分程序都是不支持多任务的，所以只有等更新了；

2.在线视频缓冲问题：多网友反应，如土豆优酷等，出现缓冲慢，视频出现横线等问题，估计是由于ios4.2新的缓冲机制所造成的；

3.升级备份问题：如果你的机器是64G，又有很多破解软件的话，升4.2就等着吧。首先你需要找一个地方完整备份你的数据（买一个新硬盘吧），记住备份不成功的话是不能升级的，然后再把你的破解软件重新安一遍（这个好像不是bug）….

4.耗电问题：网友普遍反应耗电量比3.2.2有所增加，如果你忘记关闭后台任务的话就更杯具了，有网友说一晚上可以掉30%(orz….)

5.ipod里歌曲丢失：这个外国网友反应得比较多，说ipod里面的歌曲找不到了，国内的网友估计用ipad听歌的不多吧

6.视频预览丢失：本来的图片变成白底的图片了。。。

7.冷开机速度好像慢了不少。。。

8.有一定数量的程序不能运行。。。

travelling period...actually i cant slep on flight 1...at least i can read my book during the journey.

manage to restore my ipad, ord on iOS 4.2.1...now restoring in progress

Already check with those 'running in background' app ... but closed already ~!

but what i mean is overall performance and battery consumption.

Someone said 3.2.2 is more 'saving battery' compare with 4.2.1

Yup, in fact it is true. The 16GB w/o 3G price is even surprised, only RM1549!!!

LOL! those ppls who want to buy IPAD; just wait until next week the IPAD MY official launch. Price is cheaper 10%-20% compared to others country.

Is it really multitasking when most apps are not updated to work with multitasking yet? Apps like Pulse News Reader simply loads up again when you select it from the multitask bar, so technically it's not 'running in the background', right?

Haha.. Malaysia never got Apple stuffs that cheaper than other countries..will iPad be different? I doubt that.

It said confirm launch 3rd Dec and 16G Wifi is RM 1,800, but some model like the 64GB and 3G is cheaper than Singapore. Way to go Don't know how true is it.

i cant upgrade my IPAD to 4.2.1 thr Itunes, it always hang rite there for like few hours



why ? is that anyone know how ?

i tired to re-restore few times... but still the same, stuck there, just like the pic above..

price is comparable...

so I guess those waiting to get; can actually get it now from resellers as long the price is same...

frankly quite disappointed with the 4.2.1 upgrade, nothing special, multitasking is nothing new, still took me ages to backup (it took more than 3 hours to backup the ipad and there isn't much data in it to begin with - they should fix that backup problem)

there is no proper way to exit an app other than to hit the home button....then it lies in the background using up precious memory and battery i suppose....and u have to close it manually.

and now the side lock become the mute button.....

when i was trying to lock the screen today, hitting the home button twice, sliding right, pressing the slide lock button, my fren commented that the programmer at apple must be some arcade player - it's like some combo move....

on the bright side, i stimulated the china economy

tats the process of updating tat u hav to endure.........mine takes abt 30~40 mins and i dun hav much data/media/apps in my 32GB Ipad. Do u hav lots of data in your Ipad b4 u update?

iwork in ipad can support microsoft word?

btw, just now i met a maxis authorized's boss. he is so damn funny. he say " sometime my son have to put bluray game(ps3) into ipad, i think 16gb is not enough" and he also say "i have to read book too, is 16gb enough?"
