My recent buys....

user posted image

The KATA will sit in my cupboard for a while until my next overseas trip - impulse buy. sweat.gif The Canon bag will be my daily walkaround bag for now on. I think it is OEM by Vanguard coz the design almost like Vanguard Uprise 28 but missing some features.

Pefect tripod! can turn into monopod in a short period!

Light weight and stable!  icon_rolleyes.gif

Nice... but i find this kind of screw type quick release plate is kinda slow and trouble some in actual use. I got the same on my Fotopro CF tripod, will change to Manfrotto RC2 QR plate later. icon_idea.gif

@fansoption: wow... big flash on tiny body. I used to have a Canon Speedlite 420EX on my tiny Canon G2 too - the result is heaven and earth when used in indoor low light situation. nod.gif

What do u mean slow? in terms of?
*
imagine this - you screw the tripod plate on the camera. So you walkaround and then you want to use your tripod. You need to put the camera with quick release plate on the tripod but you need few seconds to screw the plate tightly to the tripod. If you are using the Manfrotto RC2 type QC system or similar type, you just need to snap on the plate - no need the screw. The camera can be fixed on within 1 second - much much much faster. Of course if you are shooting indoor or carry your camera attach to the tripod (very unlikely i think sweat.gif ), then this process of engage and disengage your camera from the tripod will not be so annoying.

You will understand what I mean after you use it on the field. icon_idea.gif

got my nifty thrifty just now. It is very much better than my expectation, really worth the money but not enough wide for in-door group shot. hmm.gif

Test shot this with it at the shop just now.

Bought at Foto Alisan in JB. Was quoted RM3,450 for EF-S 17-55mm with cc charges, reasonable price? And need to wait for 2 months to get the stock. sweat.gif

yalor..... nose breed... laugh.gif can't wait to shoot some nice photos. I think i just completed my full DSLR setup - 17-55mm + 10-22mm + nifty 50mm, cover 99% of my subject - shut my pocket now, no more DSLR related purchase in future. But maybe a 100mm macro lens is another nice-to-have. tongue.gif

Waaa much cheaper than RM3750 last year, before canon slash price doh.gif
*
i think is 2 years ago already lah biggrin.gif - isn't it around end of 2010 that Canon slash prices? I think when i bought my 60D in April 2011, 17-55mm already selling around the price i bought.

Funny, I have the same belt with you, but totally different system.

Prefer the skin system, rather than moudlar smile.gif

wow... nice bags. I get the speed belt as it is more cushion than skin and less bulky than steroid, just nice. actually i only use the lens changer "pouch" as a place to rest my 60D while i walk around. tested this setup with a normal belt and a second hand lens changer 35 on a short trip outstation previously and found out i like it very much. So buy this more comfy belt and a larger lens changer 50 to fit my 10-22mm.
