haizz... missing my old nf7 board.

anyways,

i tried my Team Xtreem on the NF7, but couldnt get the timings 2-2-2-5

so i had to changed board and pumped the voltage to 3.3v and manage to get the timing.

gsan, the DDR booster u used can pump up to how many volts?

Thanks...

I might be getting NF7 mobo for my 2nd rig. Will see how far it will go compared to my fried NF7 mobo. Old mobo i can clock it around 255mhz for the ram using hynix d43 rams. Proc can go around 2.5ghz with 1.85v. But its weird since i cant use 250x10 at all. laugh.gif

I'll quote for u the right setup of dual channel. I get this information from this website

http://www.logan.eclipse.co.uk/abit_nf7_(s)_v2_0.htm

"Memory. So that leads me straight on to the memory for this board. Now all you know that, my pards and I, only use the TwinMos PC3700 with the 4.3ns B chips on it, but you don't have to. BH5 memory is meant to run quite high fsb as well. Take a look around the forum at what others are using to run a high FSB. Take it from me though, the TwinMos stuff flew to 246fsb straight out of the box and I know that RGone has benched it at 250fsb using bios d10.bin. This is the stuff if you can get your hands on it. When OCing, always try and run 256mb modules as they OC better than the 512mb or higher sticks. Try running 2x256 in Dual Channel as you should get a 5% increase. Some find a single stick in Single Channel to get them higher fsb than two sticks in DC. It's up to you test and try it. For Dual Channel use slots 1&3 or 2&3."

user posted image

"I use 2&3 as they go higher and still stable. If you want to run 3 sticks of ram and still run dual channel then you should have 2x256 in slots 1&2 and a 512 in slot 3.

2x256 = 512 in slots 1&2 and slot 3 is filled with a 512 gives you dual channel...."

Tats mean if i m using using 2x512 now i can just buy a 1gb ram with slot1&2 512mb and 1024 at the slot 3?? then i will be running dual channel on 2gb?

I try out all the way, take out the batt, clear the cmos, take out all the add-on card, cd-rom n leave only floopy n GC, but still cannot

The ram is not a problem, if can boot sure u will hear the beeping sound after POST, but tis one not even can hear tat... lol. maybe i think need to change the batt n see how lol.. anyway, i not in m'sia now. so can't troubleshoot it,

Going to sell my AMD part n set up 939 rig... biggrin.gif Anyway, if the board cannot b repair, i will keep it as a antique...

I also faced slightly similar problem aforementioned. Sometimes I will be "greeted" with the BIOS checksum error message upon POST stage. I wonder if the circuitry beneath the battery compartment was damaged so the battery can't deliver it's current to ensure the information kept in the BIOS chip intact. OR is the BIOS chip was flawed due to high activity of overclocking experiments?

If I change the BIOS chip with my spare BIOS chip, will the problem solved?

I welcome anyone to express the idea to solve problem of both of me and -=J4cKa5s=-.
