Hey, i wanna ask if it possible to remove the original North Bridge HSF without removing the whole mobo out from my casing?
Coz i wanna remove it to do a lapping for it and replace the TIM with AS5. Btw, i just lapped my stock AMD HSF today...looks cool... |

Lucky dude. my original NB HSF still working find.Mine got loud whiny sound during 1st boot up for the day, lasts about 1 min. Couldn't be bothered to do anything about, except to bin it and go for passive cooling on both the Nth and Sth-bridges! din hav any heatsink on my southbridge yet....coz only make some different when u are goin on extreme overclocking. a stock hsf for my proc cant let me oc till that extreme yet.... |

QUOTE([-] @ Apr 24 2007, 09:01 PM) I don't know if its peacefully or terribly.. but it was quite a sudden death. ooo...sad...looks like BIOS is dead. Btw, u confirm u flashed it correctly with the correct bios?I still remember I was playing DoW with my friend, then suddenly my comp hung. When I try to restart it gave the BIOS ROM checksum error. I knew it wasn't normal. Powered down the whole system, booted it up again fine. Ran for a couple more hours, Windows and everything else started to act really strange. Explorer was crashing, I couldn't send messages in MSN, Explorer reverted back to classic skin, stuff like that. Really strange. Then it finally hung. And when I tried to restart, it gave me the checksum error again. Repeated attempts and trying to boot it again failed. Then I attempted to flash the bios with a fresh copy. After flashing, she died completely. No error, nothing. That's the story of how my NF7-S left me. |

QUOTE(gsan @ Apr 24 2007, 11:31 PM) why make u think that 2500+ more to push out? becoz originally 2500+ got higher clock speed than 2400+, so i think i shud can go more. my previous mobile 2400+ can oc till 2.6GHz prime stable, forgot about the vcore d. btw, normally u prime for how long? 8hours or more? |
