@GKWong

Thank you for sharing the BIOS files. I should credit you for the nice POST screen that u custom made. I like it!

By the way, I am still finger crossing that after flashing my BIOS, I need not have to swap to my spare BIOS yet.

so now is ur BIOS still working fine?

nah, BIOS still show BIOS checksum error - default loaded.

I have to change with the spare BIOS and see what will happen afterward.

Mind to provide us your cpu's OPN? and what is the codename of your CPU (eg: Palomino, Thoroughbred or Barton)?

IIANM, I think your CPU is multiplier locked.

any CPU-Z screenshot? what is the symptom when u set the multiplier to and fsb to 200x10? cant boot or remain same?
try to set ur fsb at default and change only the multiplier.

I seconded GKWong. Kuso, if u able to provide us your screenshot of CPU-Z, that would be informative for us to see clearly what happened to your setup. We'll try to rectify this matter.

ic...nice! so after retired from nforce2, plan to sell ur stuff??
*
Already sold the barton cpu and nvidia geforce 6800 gs. And the DDR400 RAM is on the way to be sold.

The mainboard, hmm sweat.gif I have yet to find the problem of inability to save BIOS setting permanently. I do not dare to sell this mainboard unless I able to fix the problem first.

Anyone know where I can find a suitable person to repair abit NF7-S v2.0 mainboard? I think the mainboard has faulty BIOS chip. Maybe else the socket that hold the BIOS chip is damaged, or some electronic device soldered on the mainboard is not functional as expected.

I am still keeping this old mainboard. I have planned to sell, but on second thought, why not I repair it and make it as additional home server at my house?

The symptom is inability to retain a BIOS setting. Even I cold boot or hot boot, sometimes the BIOS setting reset to default. I even changed the CMOS battery to a new one.
