QUOTE(zahri @ Apr 5 2006, 11:19 PM) i'm not sure.... yea i noe increasing voltage will even coz it runs hotter. but if it does not hav any use, then why it got the option to raise the voltage?but i dunt think there is any use if we increase the northbridge Voltage. wel will only make the Northbridge chip more hotter |

QUOTE(thefryingfox @ Apr 6 2006, 03:56 PM) by feeding more voltage into chipset, ooo....now we got the answer! u can push fsb further sometimes when you reach max fsb without any voltage to the vdd(chipset voltage), u cant go futher....but adding maybe 0.1 or 0.2 volts u can go higher it depends relaly on your rams wether they are able to go to that level. but with all hardware, more voltage leads to shorter lifespan |

QUOTE(yahooo @ Apr 7 2006, 09:22 PM) Hi there, aiya...ur proc so good...but with a slow ddr266 ram...pull it down....What should I do to OC this system?: AMD Barton 2500+/1.8Ghz Unlocked with Stock Fan Abit NF7-S rev 2.0 (Bios D27) Apacer 256MB DDR266 x 2 (dual channel) Nvidia Riva TNT2 Seagate 40GB PATA 7200RPM Casing + Psu 400Watt Ayam Brand I prefer not to do any physical modd to the mobo. It is too risky for me. I prefer to use the original Bios. I just want to fully utilized my unlocked Barton. I need suggestion on RAMs, and PSU. Thanks BTW. is anyone selling mobile Barton??? find a ddr400 ram with good chip 1st then oni try oc ur system. coz if u raise ur fsb to high, ur ram will coz trouble. btw...ur graphic card.....hmm... |

QUOTE(uzairi @ May 13 2006, 12:01 AM) Good, later we can compare the results. huh? me not using stock speed btw....Stock speeds wont let u see any differences at all. Try to overclock and measure the differences with 3dmark2001se and Sandra Memory bandwidth test. is there any nicer bios splash screen for those modded bios? |

No need use UPS lah, if have extra money buy more reliable UPS like APC or PowerKinetics(PK) so the money spend is worth it. i think my UPS ady very reliable for me... its from Liebert. Can last at least 40mins when power down. |

QUOTE(zahri @ May 31 2006, 08:04 AM) I think this might be a noob question but please dunt flame me... if ur multiplier are reli unlocked, then each time u change the multiplier at bios (mostly ppl change to lower multiplier to test), ur pc will boot up and it will recognise ur proc as other proc.If ur multiplier is unlocked, each time u change the multiplier, ur pc wont boot ? is it ?? Thanks. |

QUOTE(coolblade @ Jun 28 2006, 02:47 PM) i am not sure about this, how to get the advanced menu of the BIOS? u can goto the advanced bios feature there or sumthin bout 'chipset' at the bios the set the ram timing such as CL, RAStoCAS delay, RAS precharge, tRAs. but u cant set the 1T or 2T command rate coz it is ady set into the bios itself. there at 1T version of the bios and oso 2T version.such as to select the command rate 1T or 2T, tRAS and much more.. thanks u for ur info btw...i think ur bios prob tat cant save setting is not due to the polarity on the front panel switch. bcoz switch does not hav polarity, is oni one way. maybe u din reset ur bios after u change the battery. but anyway...solved ady... |
