thanks mr_47.
but recently I have tested the abit nf7-s v2.0 mainboard I bought from someone yesterday. After i tested the mainboard but it has a problem
the mainboard problem is.. after save the bios setting and then i turn the power off, then disconnect power supply cord from the powerpoint, the mainboard can't recall the saved setting so i have to setting manually before i boot into windows
strangely if i shutdown the computer but let the computer get power from powersupply that feeded by continuous power line from the powerpoint, it can recall the setting when i turn on the computer afterward.
i mean, if the computer was fully disconnected from an electric source, then plug the power supply cord to the powerpoint, the BIOS can't recall setting I saved earlier. Instead it reverts to default setting. the case was not happen if the power supply get continuous electric flow from the powerpoint and the windows OS already shutdown.
i have to press the DEL button everytime i turn on the computer in order to select my desired BIOS setting.
then i save the bios setting and proceed to windows loading.
i hate to reenter my preferred bios setting, including reenter the actual date and time.
i actually want to save the bios setting forever.
anyone know what problem i stumbled here?
any solution?
i was so sad because i bought it yesterday but was not in total good condition, however, yes it can boot into windows normally.
FOR FURTHER INFORMATION:
i updated the bios to official ABIT's bios rev. 27. but unable to resolve the 'BIOS save ' problem.
the previous owner use bios rev 26 (mantarays) if i am not mistaken.
CPU: AMD Thunderbird 1.333 Ghz unlocked version (133 MHz fsb)
RAM: Kingston 512 MB DDR266 (PC2100) CL2.5 double sided ram module
GRAPHIC CARD: ATI RADEON 9600 pro 128 mb
OS: windows XP pro SP2
try change your cmos batteries,,,, and check the reset jumper for the bios,,,izzit in good condition?
why youre not using d26 mantarays xt? use it ler bro its the best bios ever..
if still hav prob then try another good bios as taipan...
a little more hardwork will solved the problem,,,hehe!
