To be honest, I kinda liked the Taipan after running stable at 2505Mhz, but the temps were worrying so I've dropped it down to 2405. Seeing this thread again has reminded me to retest the Mantaray and 3dfire (if I managed to d/l it before the board went down).

im from klang, the 20gb's can collect in KL or PJ. (most likely lowyat)

For burning in try cpu-burn in.. download it here Click CPU Burn-In Page. when running the burn in s/ware, tick disable error checking for maximum heat generation, burn in at least 5 hrs.. and, good luck.

Your 230fsb with what Vdimm? Mem chips? L12 mod?

with others modd. bios like d26 Manta Rays XT or d26 merlin speed fire, i manage to get above 250mhz fsb easily. but for d27 3dfire, i cant even boot with 230mhz fsb. i've tried the L12 mod but it cant fit the proc since i couldnt find a very tiny wire. i'm using bh5 and feed with 3.6v stable at 250mhz @ 2-2-2-11.

manage to get fsb 220 here with system spec as siggy!

I've the same problem as you, cant get 230fsb with d27 3dfire. but for others such as d27 taipan, d26 speed fire, d25 3dfire, i can get at least 250fsb.

so which one is da best mod bios for NF7/NF7-s?

how far can locked barton 2500+ multp 11.0 can go without L12 mod? can it reach at least 230 fsb?

i think for me 220x11 is my max,,, coz max temp while burning 3dmark2003/05/games = 57 celc!

L12 mod can be done bu pinmod anyway...
L12 mod for sure will reach for FSB.. tested before =)

if u use 2 sound system such as on board sound and another soundcard stick on pci slot,,, just disable the onboard sound at the bios!
