There is no strap, the advertised piece is 8gb, which is not the unit we are getting in Malaysia. That is not a samsung malaysia set.

Samsung Mobile service center customer service at plaza berjaya is great btw. It may look veryyy small and simple but the service is not what i imagined earlier. A friend of mine got a hairline on this SGS (one straight line, not sure if its a dead pixel) and it was replaced within a few hours once the stock arrived. I asked the personnel and she told me the actual price for a replacement of the super amoled is roughly around 600+-. Its a good idea to get the ori set from Maxis. No question asked when my friend handled over the device, he just filled a simple form and bring along his warranty card along and the phone.

Emm very interesting. This seller is from Malaysia with 100% rate. Since he state Samsung Warranty, is it Malaysia now start receiving 8g SGS?

maybe because he has a reason, as far as i know, only maxis hold the ORI set, and ori set supposed to be 16GB. and all other shop outside only have ap set, ap set 8GB,

maybe that set is from outside malaysia but got international samsung warranty. just my theory

I'd stay away from Kingston. From personal experience, their SD cards (mini, micro) were always slow, even if they were rated at a class 4 or 6.

yes,mobile ultra is optimized for mobile with on top of class 4...
is like between of class 6 and 4..
i wan wait for class 6 but cant wait any longer

i asked many phone shop before i bought this phone...they said right now only maxis have the absolute right to sell this phone..until when don't know..by the time come..maxis will revoke this right and shop will sell this phone...but i asked the maxis guy while at msc..they said maxis only bring the 16gb version in malaysia...not 8gb version..IMHO..SGS will be in malaysia in 16/8gb when maxis has discontinue the rights...both i think is original set under samsung warranty..

Most of the 16GB model, will sell with the carrier contract in most countries, while 8GB models are targeted on contract free sale, like in UK. So not a big chance Samsung will bring in 8GB model into Msia.

From the FAQ on the thread, the TS said it is safe. Some said otherwise but I'll just use this until some better firmware or method is out.
