Salasih has a diff taste and looks compared to what westerners called their Basil, sweet basil..


Sweet basil can be bought at Jusco, Tesco, Cold Storage and Hock Choon Market at jalan ampang. basically its sold at places where most foreigners patronize. Its actually quite easy to get. But its not really cheap.

Mostly comes in a vacuum packed plastic. as Sweet Basil cant last long once its opened.. so process dem fast before they turn black.

RM1 for one whole Bunch.. i think thats Daun Selasih.. not the Basil for the original pesto recipe.
