My company is asking me to stay....but they keep giving me words that they will change this and change that....I want to believe. I am only staying because Ive contributed so much to that place. The department was my work with my other colleagues. What we established for months, is there.
But who gets the recognition...other people. I cannot stay with just 1.4K a month in my bank. Heck, I don't wanna end up renting a room at the age of 26-28. I want to start buying my own property and live in it. Yet when I gave them my words that I want to see myself growing, I want to start management, not just operation. I've learned more than your current manager. I know more things than him. But who gets the recognition? Not me. I know its the real world. But when you want me to stay and say that I should give them time to change this and that, I've waited for 7 months....the first month I came in, already there are signs that things need to be done. A capable manager left, so capable and famous that the minute she left, the whole KL hotel knows. Yet they never do shit. It was me and my team that did what she left. When other people leave, they never question. Only when I left, others followed. I have my own legacy there. Yet now they want me to stay without giving me what I want to stay for. Other places, are nice, yes, pay is good and so on. But I stayed because it was my team that I taught them to hold on. I taught 2 juniors and now they're standing up on their own. |
