QUOTE(adward @ Aug 11 2010, 04:57 PM) I bought the spring clip from Fitness Concept, it was lousy as it doesn't fit snugly on the bar (1" dumbbell bar). I dunno la .. maybe it'll fit better on barbell. I bought 2 pairs & now it's lying in my house sumwhere.. useless.. |

Too bad it doesnt fit tightly I found out in our market got dumb/barbell bars of different thickness. Very small difference. Cannot tell if looking at one, but if got 2 side-by-side then can feel the slight difference. So for the iron-mongers having the thicker bars, the FC spring collars will fit urs perfectly. El cheapo too My search continues... |

Unless the bar is ultra smooth and clean, spring clips have the tendency to bind and a bit difficult to remove. Consider shifting to quick release collars. They're especially useful when doing drop sets or strip sets that require quick unloading of plates in between reps. See my review of barbell quick release collars.
Hope this helps. |
