thanks for the info. I did not know that as well.
this is my first continental car .

I have a quick question in regard of the auto lock.
i found out if any of the door is open from the car, the other 3 doors will be
unlocked too.

anyone know how to de-active this?
i remember the first few weeks i got the car , if one of the passenger door is open from inside, other door will remain unlock n i found it is safer in that way.

thx

You can change the settings from the MFD.

Best interest rate now is if you take the 2010 car its at 1.38%.

Also in 2011, VGM will not bring in the Golf TSI without the L&S package. Friend who booked it last month is furious about it because the SC is now "forcing" him to top up to get the L&S package
*
I think the L&S package is worth it just for the lights. The media player is crap though.

Dear members,

appreciate a proper feedback, my situation goes like that:

I bought a VW Eos in April 2010 from FA Wagen Jalan 222 and had a problem with the window mechanism on the passenger side. Salesman said "its like that wan". didnt argue with him and waited for another shipment of Eos (waited 8 months) to come in and made a comparison. Window mechanism confirmed faulty. this is the 9th month and they still haven't figured out what's wrong and don't seem to be very interested in getting it fixed. everytime i have to call them to chase up on this issue.

Anyways I would like to advise all Eos, Scirocco and Passat CC owners to check whether they have this problem as it will lead to a leaking roof for the Eos. Scirocco and Passat CC will get damaged window seals if this problem persist.

Is there anywhere i can do to speed up the process ? I am very frustrated in the way they are handling my problem.

thanks in advance.

I think you can find a number to call from the VGM website. I called once to complain. Their response was prompt and good. thumbup.gif

whats the problem? imo you shouldnt have waited so long, u should have gone directly to the service manager/Branch manager and ask for a solution, failing which u approach VGM directly. Thier address and contact is listed on the vw site, its in bangsar

looks more like a  long wheelbase polo, lol

btw guys, what does the 337 in the screen means?

those digit are keep decreasing but what are them?lol

As a few others suggested, I think it's the number of days til your next service. If you play around with the buttons, you'll see a little spanner icon, as pictured here. This screen shows the service interval (distance remaining til next service). I believe what you've posted here just shows the number of days, since the service interval is 15,000km or 1 year (365 days), whichever comes first.

ya,its polo.
definitely not distance remaining, the user manual doesnt explain much also hmm.gif

I have to say that the owner's manual for the Polo is a piece of c**p!!! It doesn't tell you much at all, I was really disappointed with it.

hey guys, im getting the golf 1.4 TSI in 2 weeks. just wanna know where do i get the MDI cable for the ipod? and wat size rims are suitable? i have already book one of the OZ racing rims but its 17. should i go 18 instead? thank you in advance.

stick with the OEM 17's, they are tough and solid. OZ ultras are lightweight and look good but very fragile. easily dented and dmged on our lousy roads. My 17" Denvers lasted me 2 years with no issues, just 8 months with my 18" OZ and all 4 were dented

bro my rims are 16 OEM. so how ? how bout a caracter 18? and about body kit where can someone recommend a reasonable price place?

the problem is the window is suppose to go down by about 1 cm to avoid pinching the rubber seals. this should happen when u lightly pull the handle, try this on a passat CC and scirocco or eos. but somehow my eos passenger side doesnt go down. everytime i open the door it pinches the seal out causing the roof to leak.

i waited so long because we didnt want to argue with the salesman. service manager and branch manager also sleeping one. PDI fail also they can mark as pass n deliver the car to us. FA Wagen is probably the worst car dealer i have come across when it comes to warranty fix.

Did u try calling up VGM to voice your problem? Tell them and they will 'sound' the particular branch. thumbup.gif

yeah... tested it on Passat CC and Scirocco... when you pull the door handle, the window will drop by almost a cm, damn cool smile.gif

but yours is quite serious... hopefully not all VW frameless windows have that problem...

how you open the door if the window does go down a bit? if pull by force won't the rubber come out also?

take down your sales man name and the branch manager name and employee no.

write a letter directly to VGM and copy volkswagon group asia/world

you can get VGM world email in their website.

tell the branch manager that the if no action taken by them or VGM pls take it to tribunal court

yup. yours is a very straight forward case, the tribunal will rule for u if u were to go before it. VW will def not want that, just make sure u start documenting your complaints

the new SC at glenmarie now can do service already or not?
last time they said end of january should be ready

jwrx, if i were to do oil changes at 7.5k instead of 15k, must change oil filter also? or just need top up?'
also,
my gearchange is starting feels not so smooth now, especially when i'm coming to a stop
and last time when i'm cruising in 6th gear, i downshifted twice using the paddle shifters, it took like 2 seconds to engage
should i top up the DSG oil, and what is the costs, my mileage is 47k km, car is 2 yrs old

Well, the GTi is not actually a very 'premium' car.... so bound to have some problems one lah. Futhermore, I'm very paranoid over 'sound' here n there, really gets on my nerves. So I went to rectify them. Most of them are gone.... and the rest, I've gotten used to them. In terms of performance n handling, no complains lah... the only complain is there isn't any place that I can really go to 'pecut'.
