Polo 1.2 is overrated.
If you want to experience power in a Polo,you can try Polo GTI....1.8T is real good,to make it better,you can always chip it.Then you'll get around 180-200bhp,depend on which chip you're getting.
The 1.2T is as good as 1.6 NA,IMHO...

Polo's 1200cc turbo equivalent to 2000cc is being overrated...
I would say horsepower wise, polo's 1.2 (105PS) is on par toyota vios 1.5 (109PS)
Torque wise polo 1.2 equivalent to honda civic 1.8 (polo's torque is even better than civic because polo can reach max torque 175Nm @ 1550-4100rpm while civic max torque 174Nm only @ 4300rpm.. early torque translate to better pickup and some how translate to better fuel efficiency as well).

The 7 speed DSG is also another big highlight of VW vehicle.. the dual-cluth allow seamless gear change and you wont feel (or minimal) gear shift jerk in between gear change.. fast gear shifting reduce torque loss during gear change.. more gears allows your car to choose the more appropriate gear ratio at different speed and different driving situation.. overall better fuel efficiency because you have more gear ratio for different driving condition, lesser torque loss during gear change, and better acceleration bcos of seamless gear shift and lower torque loss..

So Miss, now you see the wonder of the polo, small but powerful, fast pickup, great fuel efficiency (award winning car), and the pride of owning a VW.. we havent even start talking about the good handling of the German car.. that will be another long story..

Hey, thanks phas3r for your details sharing, it's definite clearer now especially the 1.2cc equivalent to 2.0cc thingy. At first i'am still doubt regarding the performance ( i mainly thought it's 1.2 cc car). Last time i visited the
VW outlet, the sales represent did entertained and provided vast information but its only myself hardly pay attantion as i keep scrutinized all the angle of the cars model , haha.. loves 1st sight  . He did talked all the
performance thingy, torque, rpm, 7 gear box but myself really blurred and no point to discussed futher as i dont know what he saying though. haha, i just a regular driver who doesn't emphazise so much about performance (especially some ladies right) as we not going to fully utilized and speed fast in city either , be a responsible citizen )

The point is that as long as not paying 100k buck for 1.2cc will do, ya it's sound more convincing for me to deposits now. I bet u so right as the polo really do bare in classy specs. Before that, i opt for either the honda Jazz or yaris toyota, as i comfort with the small and light vehicle do suit ladies handle. But after had seen european cars made me fed up with those jap cars (no offence to others yay). The VW polo and golf classy and elegance interior designed with solid built perfect in every sense as compared to jazz (Sigh )    

Ya, i believed test drive is the best ways to figure out which model suit me better, will do try allocate time for re-visit again. By the ways, what the 7 gearbox again? pack myself more infos before 2nd time revisit the outlet, haha

Just the bumper is different, the grill is different and the rear bumper is different. There are plenty of after market bodykits available such as Rieger, ABT, Charactere, Razr, and many more.

Yes it does, you both front and rear sensors. Your radio will auto mute and display the park assist when you reverse. Check my signature below, the reviews shows the pictures of park assist

Oh yes just wanted to impart this to all our forumners on VW, i just drove all the way from singapore to kl at an excruciating slow pace of 90 km/hr in a polo TSI.....I mean thats definitely more than the 10 laps jeremy clarkson did with his M3. what positive things did I get out of it? well I used only a quarter tank for the whole trip AND replicate what jeremy clarkson said....economy is HOW you drive not WHAT you drive....well of course if you have an engine like the TSI...it helps

Yeah, what I meant was the real - deal auto - park feature. It is available for Golf 1.4 TSi Mk 6 sold at UK and Europe, but I'm not sure whether it's available in SG or not.

Anyone knows what the next batch [ i read in this thread here the next batch is coming this March? ] Golf comes with? Daylight running front lights? Park Assist?

Nah the next batch will not have park assist. No idea yet it will have the DRL lights. Yes next batch will have to be around March or later because it will be a 2011 manufactured car.

Interest rate? Depends on which bank you take from N how long the loan. Around 2.6%-3%
