Actually from my opinion, I think replica kits are better if you prefer to wear them all the time (like me).

The replica version jerseys are meant for fans and made to be robust and last longer. Player issue jerseys are meant to be worn on football pitches for performance and to assist the players.

Replica version jerseys are made to be more longer lasting. Take example, the player issue jerseys are some made with heat bonded seams. Instead of replica jerseys, where they are stitched.. more better and last longer.

Player issue jerseys have PU printing or for adidas's case, PU typed 3 stripes. The replica jerseys instead are embroidered, so which one lasts better?

Remember the England away Euro 2004? Which has the silver material included into the jersey? Well, the player issue one has more silver (that was what umbro said) and if the replica version is the same, it will be more expensive.

So to jersey collectors.. don't feel shame or sad if you collect only replica version jerseys. This is just a hobby and passion, not a career life. Don't disrespect others who can't afford to buy player issue jerseys or brag that I am a match worn collector only for example lah.... It's just a hobby and there is no need to take thing seriously.

For me.. I prefer to buy blank jerseys. No namesets. So what.. compared to others.. that's my preference... So nothing to worry. But again, remember the purpose why there are 2 different type of jerseys... replica and player issue.

bro moonrider, replica here refers to the official replicas produced and sold by the clubs. We do not condone fakes here  in this thread:)

Player issues are the shirts with specs exactly like those worn by the players. There will be differences (sometimes subtle, sometimes major) between replicas (ie the ones you see in tall the sports stores) and the PI kits. Even the technology is different, for e.g. Adidas climacool v Techfit c Formotion etc.
