Hi all,
I need some practical advice on diet. My BMI is always at the healthy range (19 -23 for asians) but due to family history of diabetes, I try to make it at the lower range 20.
Whenever I try to lose a bit of weight, say from 68kg to 65kg for 176cm height , I find myself looking a bit 'gaunt' and unhealthy, with friends asking question "are you sick?". Because of this, I regain my weight to about 68kg.
However, this 3kg weight gain always come with "tummy". Here is my quandary, if I eat , I look ok but I got a bit of tummy . If I don't eat, then I look sickly.
I need some advice here on proper diet, I don't cook and I eat out 90% of the time.
Advice
1. What should I eat for lunch ? (got many shops nearby serving all sorts of food, but mostly I go for vegetarian diet which does not look very healthy because very oily).
2. What should I take for dinner?
3. Do I need to go for some weight lifting?
4. How to get rid of the tummy and not looking "thin and sick" at the same time?
Here is my daily meal;
Breakfast - sometimes skip, sometimes only 2 piece of bread laced with Jam
Lunch - vegetarian diet (brown rice with 2 green vege and 1 curry based )
Dinner - Nasi goreng, kailan goreng and ayam kunyit.
I notice my diet is very high in carbo , that probably explains my tummy that seems never to go away. I don't really like to take meat but ok with eggs/milk.
What should I eat? ANy suggestion? I eat 100% outside, not convenient for me to cook.
