A lot of Asian countries are carb heavy because of economic reasons. During my grandparents time, meat was something special which they ate during celebrations as it was expensive. Meat. Fish. Rice and potatoes were the staple diet.

During days when they had to put in harder work, they added sugar to the potatoes. No wonder my grandparents got diabetes.

Malaysia generally has gotten more affluent conpared to the old days. We can afford to integrate protein sources into our diet now, but it's still pricey. Next time you're at the mamak or economy rice stall, grab a piece of fish instead of veggies and see how much more the price jumps.

Omg, I can never get even 60% full with the food served in my live-in college. And if I pay, then I'll get some seriously oily food. Been eating fruits. Anyone mind giving me weight loss tips? And btw, does strength training help weight loss?

Strength training does help you in losing weights. But if you're serious in losing weights, then focus more on cardio. Do HIIT instead of doing cardio at a regular pace.

Instead of having 3 meals, try breaking them up to 5-6 smaller meals. I know it is out of the norm but eventually, you're be able to do it. I'm taking tuna with oat crackers for my in between meals. Sometimes, I will eat fruits as well.

Always remember that
Output calorie > Input calorie

Whats HIIT? And whats the recommended distance for someone to do cardio? I usually do 4km but i go 2km if I do some strength training.

HIIT is running like your being chased by a bulldog for 30 sec, then slow pacing for 60 sec then continuing running for your life for a nother 30 sec and then slow pace again, with repetition! google it up for more info.
From personal experience ( i do it everyday :S ) if doing properly...you will be really breathless by the 4-5 set..depending on your stamina/ability!

btw guys just want to know. Instead of a circuit set consisting of 2-4 different muscle groups, can i do 1 muscle group but in a circuit way? Like..

for chest = benchpress -> fly -> decline -> incline ->cable fly. ( 3 sets of 12 reps ) 10 sec interval before going on to next exercise and 1 min interval between each set...

Or isit better to do chest bicep abs 1 day, shoulder legs one day and finally abs back and triceps on the last day?

now everybody talks about lose weight..
by the way i've tried diet routine for 3 weeks..
i've not eaten rice for 3 weeks last month..
but i only managed to lose 1.5kgs..single week only 500grams..
im struggled to do that..
now im craving for food..
seriously i gain weight already..
got fat around body..
so difficult to lose huh..

i've also tried asking friends..
they suggest me to take Slim diet 2 and Jusmate..
for Jusmate i also have tried it but i think it must drink it continously..
for me after took 1 box then not buy it anymore..
thats why i think not helping..
i've been in trouble for weight lose since past 4 years..
now my weight is 78kgs..
i need to lose weight until my weight become 60++ kgs..
pls help me..
i knew exercise is the answer..how about time? if someone not have time..what they must do?

one more question keep hanging in my mind..
is it possible to drink detox tea or slimming tea works to lose wieght..
because read from newspaper / advertisement they using supermodel/actor/actress to help sales..
even the supermodel/actor/actress not using that..
so frustrating..
my friend told me that the slimming tea works but need your body to works also..
like going to toilet all the way..

anyway i need suggestions on that..

today workout on upper high intense.. and tomorrow just hit lower.. make it alternating

Keep asking why to your answers and you'll be motivated on your own. Else it will just be "because the government/my parents/my gf else told me to"

hmmm cardio is about heart capability and doing sport/weight lifting can increase metabolism.

i can see the different now..
hehe..
i use my belt to scale my tummy..
first have extra 2 hole 0nly..
now have 4,,,(although it make my tummy into 2)
