approx how much weight can i lose in 1 month if  my routine is like this ;

jog 30 mins ( with slopes ) - 3 times a week
basketball 2 hour - 2 times a week
skip rope 45 minutes  ( fast pace ) - 4 times a week

but i rarely control my diet . Although i skip fast food tho . thanks !

I guess it depends on how fast your metabolism rate is.
For jogging, depend on how fast you run. If it's slow jogging (I mean really slow), It wont burn much fat.
Basketball too, depend on how hard you play.
Arh, Rope skipping definitely can help in losing weight. I guess you can burn really lot of calories in this activity.

To lost weight, NEVER skip food. Just prevent eating unhealthy food, get more protein for muscles to grow.
When you have more muscles and since muscles is denser than fat, you will look slim in no time and through long periods, you will lost weight.

A healthy losing weight rate should be 0.5kg to 1kg per week, if you burn enough calorie more than you consume.

So, from your acitvity, if you control your food taking, you can lost to maybe 2 to 3 kgs I assume.

Hi guys biggrin.gif wanna ask about afterburn effect..

What is the fastest way to trigger it? I'm quite an overweight person but i jog everyday morning and evening. Is there any way so that I can design my routine as to include afterburn? Anything else i need to know?

hello all,
today is my 1st day browsing thru this thread/group wink.gif

im 32 yo, weight at 83kg with height 170cm..
yes i know im overweight and i accept that.. i was a LOT lighter 6-7 years before but, with NO exercise at all after that, here i am..
now enuff about history

last month i started going/sign up at a gym here
my routine is cardio (walking 5-6) for 30 mins, (cycling) for 15 min and some lifting (about another 20 mins)
bcoz of time and family factor, i can only spend roughly about 1 and half hour per day at the gym.. ive been going to the gym 2 or 3 day a week.. and i did play light futsal once a week (just started)..

my Q is - is what im doing right? my intention is i want to lose weight and shrink my waistline.. i do skip heavy dinner now bcoz of the exercising.. i do take fat burner pills and protein drink before each session.. can anyone here give some opinion or suggestion to fast track the result..

thanks in advance wink.gif

You should always try to lose weight first without a fat loss supplement to know if your methods are effective or not. Some of you treat certain supplements like it's the magic pill. Then if it fails you'll turn around and say it wasn't effective. Nothing short of liposuction will cause you to shed bodyfat while still eating like a horse.

hi, i'm 24 year old married man. Currently i'm weighing at 82kg with 167cm height. I've checked my BMI last december and i'm overweight. My perfect BMI shud be around 70-75kg. For the past 2 weeks i've been working out usually jogging 3 times a week. I also been dieting which i only eat lunch but with rice. Dinner i didnt eat rice but only consume small amount of food like meat or chicken. Its been 3 weeks i started like that and i dun see my weight goin down. Last Sunday i checked i'm still at 82kg. This week, i'm starting to do situps but usually 30 situps only.

So guys, am i in a correct way of lossing weight or any of u wanna suggest me something?

In terms of meal, have 5 to 7 meals a day( break them into smaller portions), you will be increasing your metabolic rate by doing so. Try increasing your protein intake too. Choose lean meat such as chicken breast( you could boil or grill). You should also consume oats as this is a fat burning food.Increase your intake of green vegetables too. You could also substitute your rice with brown rice or maybe even baked sweet potatoes. In terms of your training, I would suggest you to start taking up weightlifting exercises. You should also do HIIT( high interval intensity training) as this is the best foam of cardio to loose weight. All the best with your weight loss bro. Sorry I can't type more cos I'm using my iPad. Do post up any questions if you have.

I normally jog 45 minutes a day x 4 times a week.

A month now stopped.
But changed to walking 2.4km EVERYDAY.

What do you guys think?

Which one is better?

Heya erm I currently weight 53kg or so, 154cm and would like to lose weight till 45kg smile.gif

My biggest problems lie with my tummy, has a big load of flabs/fats there which I would like to get rid of :/ bf told me to jog every day for 30 minutes or so because that's pretty much the only way to get rid of stomach fats. And crunches (but not sure of how many I should do or when ;_;) so yeah..

Oh and would like to tone up my arms there (flabby flabby ;_;) and if possible to slim down thighs (does jogging help?) plus planning to go on a diet (no fried food, etc. yeah you get the point)

So uh would like help regarding how to tone up muscles at my arms there and regarding the thighs section, thanks guys/girls biggrin.gif

relax dude, meal frequency in my opinion doesnt really play much role in it. it also depend on the meal size and lots of factors too.
anyways , i read somewhere increase of meal frequency helps lowering triglycerides and a few more things, i think control blood glucose level.

journals are there to provide findings, its ur belief that make it counts.
