lol it's not a good idea to ask me 'coz I really don't know. Personally, each day one should spend about 1 hour to exercise. No doubt you wouldn't be able to skip for 1 hour (not even me) so maybe you can time yourself with 15min rope skipping, 20-30min with the stairs + warm up etc and followed by another 15min of skipping at the end of it.

I usually do yoga at home and I can only last for a max of 30min laugh.gif

king_lover>> Hmmm rule of thumb for yoga is that you need to practice it with an empty stomach. We're advised not to eat 2 hours before class... perhaps you can try to apply the rule to your workout and see if it works for you. Besides, your "not too long ago" is how long? 30 min? 1 hour? If you know you're going for exercise, take something light beforehand.

Thanks for the advice. I'll eat 2 fried eggs with 2 slices of wholemeal bread then for breakfast. Dont think i can stomach eating vegies in the morning but i can try eating fruits.
*
Instead of fried eggs, why not go for half boiled eggs or hard boiled eggs? Or, pan fry the egg with minimum oil (although it sticks to the pan and annoyingly hard to scrub it after wards). I would advice against taking too much fried stuffs.

I still think the breakfast is pretty lavish... based on my personal diet, I usually eat only 1pc of bread + 1 egg.

Another option would be - not to take all of them at the same time. Eat less but with more frequency, for example:

- 1 egg + 1 slice of bread around... say, 8am before you leave for work. bring the other egg + 1 slice of bread to work.
- Eat the other egg + bread prob around 9.30am-10am when you're feeling hungry
- Lunch
- Snack on fruits/ nuts (even nut has oil, so don't take too much)
- Dinner

Bah i have a resolution of losing minimum 5kg before my friend's wedding dinner in October. I'm already feeling the stress though everyone tell me there's sufficient time o.O

Since I couldn't find time (and it costs money too) to do yoga in centres, will get a yoga DVD from speedy so I can practice it at home.

kneok>> not too sure about chapati's carb content but I would usually go for it as well in mamak. sometimes i take naan biggrin.gif but I avoid roti canai at all cost because it's super oily.

Your diet seems fine to me except I don't see vege for lunch (does your wrap consist of vege?) and dinner. Right, probably the question is - how many pieces of chapati do you take each meal? Also, don't take too much cheese... they are fattening as well. if you can take your sandwich minus the cheese, i believe it's healthier.

What about fruits? do include it into your dietary plan...

at least capati is healthier than eating naan or roti canai.

Yeah... but sometimes the chapati is so thin that it's not filling with 1pc. Feels really flat. Even when I take naan, I usually only eat half of it.

Really? Because when I eat at mamak, it's just the chapati + a bit of curry, that's all. I'll be full when there's chicken together. Otherwise i'll get hungry pretty soon.

Fruits? In general i think it refers to a mixture of apples, watermelon, oranges, honeydew, melon, papaya, pineapple etc whatever you can get. And yes, banana as well. But banana has carbs so I usually eat them as "snacks" in between meals. There are times when I take 1 banana + milk for breakfast.

all fruit you mentioned ie apples, watermelon, oranges, honeydew, melon, papaya, pineapple and banana has carb. not just banana only that has carb
*
But banana has more carbs than them right? Probably it's a myth but i've been told banana has the most carb among all the other fruits. of course, all fruits has sugar as well but at least it's a way healthier alternative. Besides, fruits will also need to be taken in moderate level. Too much of something is never good, regardless of its nutrient contents.

I think I'm back to become lazy again due to overstressed at work and also too busy with all the work. T.T

laugh.gif it happens. When i'm stressed out, I start binge eating... and my cravings all come. Some people lose weight when they are stressed but I'm the opposite!

even fasting,i plus 2kg more..sigh~

I think when you fast, it's harder to lose weight... because your meal time is different, thus there are no regular meals. When you eat during sahur (sahur is correct right?), you'll eat more (or double the size) to store energy to be used throughout the day until dinner time. And I think dinner is pretty heavy too? No?

Anyway, it's hard to keep track of my calorie count. I'm thinking of buying a calorie counter. Anyone own it? Does it help?

I'm 1kg down biggrin.gif still a long way to go~ wanna remove 5-10kg. Thinking of joining a gym because I really need to exercise. There is only so much that a healthy diet can take me... exercise is still necessary sad.gif sigh the nearest to my house is Fitness First and they are expensive $$$$$

few years back, i lost about 10kg when i cut all my rice, noodles and white bread in my diet + workout. i stick to this diet for 7 months.

pros: it worked, u'll see result fast. (i even recommend this to my friend and it worked on her too)

cons: it makes me look old, tired, and dry. (i look not energetic at all times)

unfortunately, i stopped my workout when my gym membership expired.  i didnt gain weight immediately but throughout years, my weight was back to old weight before workout. so now, i have to start the workout again. but this time, i dont plan to cut carbs in my diet. i learned this from my trainer, eat more meals but small portion. like 6 meals a day. i'm yet to stick to this diet daily as i just started. cant comment more on this. anyone with expeience mind sharing?
*
wow to cut rice, noodles etc out totally? that's pretty hard to do.

Back to now, yes I agree with your trainer. By 6 meals a day, it's breakfast, snacks, lunch, snacks, early dinner, snacks. I try to keep it to 5 meals as my dinner is pretty late (I reach home late everyday due to distance).

Since your regular meals are 'downsized' to smaller portions, you'll tend to get hungry faster, thus the need for snacks. As to what to eat for snacks, I usually eat one of these: 1-2 slice of adventist bread (similar to oats bread)/ an apple/ an orange/ carrots/ whatever fruits I have/ 1 hard boiled egg/ 1 yoghurt etc - whatever I have or bring to work. Sometimes I snack on peanuts. How effective? I'm not strict enough with my diet (haha) so I only manage to reduce 1kg in about 2+ months' time without exercise (time to enroll in gym sigh).
