i undergo the journey to reduce my body fat level. It's about 9 months (total lost 110kg to 93kg right now)
Control my weight at 95kg around 3 month.. that's why i drag the period too long...
So far it's going great...

I do very simple way, and not to think so complicated.

start : buy weight machine, sign up for gym.

that only..
eat : protein + vege the most. low complex carb, and cheat

1 day = 5 meal...

nowadays : gym (sat n sun), joging (mon, wed and fri)

gym 1 hour per session, jog 3 round x 400m track (outside line)

rate of weight reduce : 0.5kg~ 1kg (I even hit 1.5kg per week)
You can control the weight loss.. I'm not going to compete anything, what for I chase the fat loss so quickly...

So, the main point is, watch ur calories intake, calories is still calories, supplement is not magic, n don't burden urself.. as long u keep ur fitness level.. nothing wrong to eat anything..

hi all..
what are good food for loss weight?
for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

and good exercise for obesity ppl?
*
another same question. read more for food variety in previous pages.

good exercise : diet + gym
hit muscle as much as u can.. if you can combine both, it's heaven for you

remember, no shortcut..
refrain to jog if your weight is in danger zone.. protect your joint..

laugh.gif chicaman scared him off, he's not asking anymore questions.
yeah like xixo_12 said, browse through the topic. There's a lot of info.

I didn't hold back during CNY celebration & I let loose sweat.gif and as a result I gained back some weight. I noticed my pants are a little tighter!!! And my tummy is showing more too! Ouch, so now gotta go back to disciplining myself.

Alif, you can try to take more fiber and protein but cut down on carbs. you'll still need carbohydrate but take lesser (can't quantify for you unless you provide daily menu). Dinner should be taken before 8pm (if possible take it earlier like 6pm or so). Go for exercise, jog, morning walk, sports, gym etc (whatever works) at least 3-5 times per week. More vege and fruits, no sweets, ice cream, fast food, junk food, soft drinks etc if you can avoid. You might want to take skimmed milk or drink milo kosong (no sugar) for breakfast or tea time.

Avoid supper if you can help it.

Oh another thing... take the stairs instead of the lift. Say, your office is located on the 4th floor or 6th floor - take the staircase every day. I usually park my car a little further from the office and take my time to walk. Really now, I should start taking the stairs. Honeymoon period (CNY) is over, time to start taking things seriously doh.gif
*
just assume CNY as ur cheat day.. no worries.. if you lose a lot, give a prize to your body to gain a little..
milo kosong.. still have sugar inside it.. i consider as junk.. furthermore have little effect on muscle building..
take it once a week, no harm.. don't consider as ur daily routine.

QUOTE(alifhezrey93 @ Feb 10 2011, 08:33 PM)
thank!
every day i take breakfast,
Hotlick and Bread.

what good food have fiber and protein?
quaker-oat?
bread fiber?

meehon same like RICE?
*
oat, wholemeal.. should be ok

meehun.. is one carb.. man made carb.. so.. i don't think it's necessary.. still promote to fat storage..change it

I find it hard to lose more than 5kg (and I gained them back pretty easily; just slack off several months and it'll haunt me); i'll hit a plateau grumble.gif

Yeah milo powder itself has sugar but I still like taking milo. I don't take everyday but several times a week (3-4 times).  ^^; there's not much option in the office. What do you think about low sugar soya bean powder? I actually bought a packet previously and it doesn't taste like soya bean at all -_____- I rarely drink it and it went to waste. But when I think again, maybe it's better than milo so I might give it another try.

Hehe give myself a treat? I try not to hold back too much with my diet. Say I wanna take some junk food, I'll still eat it but in small portions. Holding back too much might cause binge eating or heavy cravings ToT
*
5kg.. i assume must be water weight.. it's normal.. sometimes lady very satisfy with what they achieved, in fact, it's just temporary.
Plateau is not a correct term in here, previously i think myself hit plateau too, but after a few months, i discover i ate at maintenance level.

when you tend to lose more weight, your body will use lower calories than usual, what am i did, i just low the calories intake, reduce carb and directly sugar level also decrease... and it did help to cut a few kg...

u must know the theory behind it.. later you eat only.. no effect .. also doing nothing ler..

calories in must less than calories out
reduce too much on food intake will let ur body in starvation mode..

so, balance it with calories in and high energy level usage..

QUOTE(vinesh22 @ Feb 20 2011, 08:54 PM)
Dude, that's really good progress considering you didn't have the freedom I had when I was on my mission to shed the pounds. I was too damn free when I started working out and taking dieting SERIOUSLY, like, I barely gave myself cheat days and didn't even drink anything other than plain water and my shakes. The occasional cheesecakes during birthdays were some things I couldn't avoid, but besides that, kept it tight, real tight till the point my parents were worried!!  unsure.gif
But yeah, the guys in my gym really gave me guidance and my goal was to make them proud, and to better myself as a person. Super disciplined in everything I do now because of that experience  nod.gif
*
life is short.. as long u get to know the valuable experience i'm sure you can do weight loss in anytime.
I'm a little bit frustated with a few guys that keep asking while not put any effort to try and experience themself about food.

It's up to personal preferences either you want it drag it long or in short term weight loss. For me, long journey will make u appreaciate ur life even more.. No shortcut, and u will feel most enjoyable moment in your life...

so gambateh to all.. good luck in weight loss.. wub.gif

should i focus more on cardio, or should i mix it all, cardio, weight, cardio?
*
QUOTE(king_lover23 @ Feb 21 2011, 08:53 PM)
I think focus on cardio better..
in term of weight loss...
heavy ppl like us normally shred more KG when doing cardio...
correct me if I wrong..  smile.gif
*
I'm rather using weight and control my diet.
I love my joint a lot coz it will make myself move to any part of world
Without the joints, my life could end up on a wheelchair.

moral of the story : muscle burns more fat, obesity and max pressure give bad to ur joints.. protect it.

Nothing much ler..
Test on new routine.

training once in gap of 5 days.
Training day = eat more carb + animal pak + more vitamin

Morning = 2 eggs full + Myofusion (1scoop) + HL milk
Snack in between
Lunch = vege + meat/egg/fish (either one) + 1 spoon of rice.
Snack in between
evening = vege + 2 eggs (white) + wholemeal (optional)
Night = Myofusion (1scoop) + HL milk

If you can see, i try to minimize carb usage, I don't need it, but i cycle it sometimes..

Routine :
Leg press
20kg x 3 x 15rep (warmup)
60kg x 5 x 12rep
120kg x 3 x 3rep
130kg x 3 x 2rep
140kg x 3 x 1rep

Leg curl
Hit high rep, low volume until fail.

Rotate (Upper body exercise)

Mostly focus on leg development nowaday.. i don't want to bulk so much on upper body..

try to eat less below maintenance.. but don't push too far, otherwise u r in starving...
when the weather is ok, start to walk, n change to jog+walk, then jog, then sprint..
it will take time.. do it slowly
