Hi guys smile.gif

In common, there is a huge different between standard clock speed and overclock clock speed no matter in GC, proc or RAM.

For instance, my q9400 2.66(default) vs 4.00(oc) cool2.gif

The pros is we can hv a beter performance in jz paying default clock speed price as we need to pay a big amount of money in just slighly higher clock speed.

The cons is lifespan reduction n ultimate heat released.

Izit a great choice to oc? hmm.gif

oh...
those transfering stuf do nt eat my proc dat much...
just around 10-30%
they eats my memory...
when i used 4gb, my ram can go high until 2-2.8gb
nw using 8gb, more smoother as it goes approx 2-7.5gb

the highest i c was 7.5gb when peak hour....

haha, okok.
i think for long run, not necessary have to overclock your pc,
since the server cpu usage not that much.
and when your pc just idle for sharing only,
you can even enable intel speedstep to reduce the cpu speed and voltage,
let the cpu run cooler, prolong cpu lifespan. brows.gif

normally for overclocker, their main aim is to overclock the processor.
in the same time, they can either overclock or don't overclock ram.
so you can overclock ram as well.
graphic card can be overclock also, but it is done in the other way,
but seldom people will overclock graphic card.
