Seems some retladin using 264 leather agi belt, some others use 264 str belt. Here is my armory:

well its simple ALL agi gears have shit load of ap on them and haste is important for your 2 piece set bonus proc's and agi contributes to your Crit count.

while Str gears give 2X ap per str and your belt gives you a total of 302Ap, and only 83 crit rating, in the end of the day you have to see what you really want or need but from your gears it might not make THAT much of a diffrence

it all depends on alot of factor.
if ur guild have less rogue / feral , u get higher chance to get BiS Leather Gear

BiS leather gear :
more crit % than BiS plate
less ap than BiS plate
less sp than BiS plate
recommend use JoW ( if theres more than 1 pally in group)

BiS plate gear:
low crit % than BiS leather
more ap than BiS plate
more sp than BiS plate
ur JoL overwrite others JoL even if they have Divinity 5/5

basically BiS leather dps is higher than BiS plate in alot of boss fight but in aoe fight BiS plate Owned
and when cataclysm hit, there will be Plate / Leather Specialization

and the most important thing , if u play Retribution Pally u cant have other dual spec. Its either Aura Mastery and Divine Sacrifice which both are Ret tree.

they have change JoL to be constant 2% of the dpser's life...
that was changed like several patches ago...

crit is a ret's best stat after str due to its scaling and our high base crit...
as for why agi?
judgement, CS and DStrom are counted as physical/ melee thus benefiting from agi's crit portion as well...
haste is pretty decent especially when u have TaiJ...

getting div sac for ret is useless now since u cant go deep into the tree for the raid and only have the party portion of it...
the AM spec is only useful for H LK's infest...

a debate about agi vs stength?? in pve scenario strength would be prioritized most often over crit and haste. if i'm choosing between those belts, i'd go for plate just becoz of that.

consistant dps is better over waiting for lucky strikes to happen. dun forget although agi and strength scales with kings, kings gives you more dmg output compares to % crit rate gotten from agi

i believed belt should have sockets rite? some would socket whuteva gem slots with red gems (bold cardinal ruby): rubies in body plate, rubies in belts, rubies on blue slots, rubies till meta gemz turns into a useless decorations... if you think 85 crit is lacking, get eternal belt buckle and slot it with crit rating gem there. crit rating always better choice over agi

atm, you still can equip at least 3 leather items, to keep your crit within 5X after buffed.
is depends on whether you going for agi retadin or str retadin
agi ret = at least 3 piece of agi items, neck,ring,back. (at least 5500AP (if i'm not mistaken)unbuff, before you go into agi ret.)
str ret = all +str item, except trinket, icc rings will still go for agi(is still the best)
when come to 277 ilv, can go for str
