My fren had one he said its a very good soundcard but for the price tag its not really worthy it furthermore u require a very good setup to pair with it or its pretty useless
*
woo, means the sound quality is better than the asus one lo?

Mind to tell what speakers you have?
And that's supposed to be STX not ST.

currently using HD438 only. sweat.gif
and the asus xonar card is ST, since it is pci version. smile.gif

my opinion is that the most important part of your audio is the source itself.. and when you have that the rest of your equipment sounds as good as the bad link.. hope you guys know what i am talking about.. cheers...
*
the source you mean is the music files? brows.gif

Esi juli@ hard to find..ST is too $$..and tat Onkyo SE-200PCI also not worth for tat price.. Onkyo SE-90PCI maybe can try hunt for it but it level should be on par with hd2. but remember that ur song sources must be good as well ur speaker..
*
i see.
lossless file like wav (16bit, 44.1khz) and ape (16bit, 44.1khz) is good enough right? unsure.gif

TS,did u plan to get a pair of speakers?
Otherwise u could go for dac/amp.
The Asus Xonar ST would be good.

prefer using headphone. sweat.gif

instead of mod from scratch like me, maverick would be easier for u.
u will have lot fun of music, when u have this...
in future u can mod something TOO!
After tat, u will be WOW!
*
the vacuum tube inside got life span? unsure.gif
QUOTE(rxy @ Aug 8 2010, 04:58 PM)
if u are into headphone, then perhaps dac/amp will suit you better.
yea, something like that in the pictures above.
or perhaps, you could spend the money you would spend on sc on another pair of headphone.
*
will put the budget in the future. brows.gif

tube has life span for most small tube is about 10k hours usually go more.
for russian small tubes is different, 1khours, 3k hours also got..

would like to roll back my suggestion, maverick dac its not really a tube dac.
