second lower class forces you to accept 1.3k? then what bout third class/general degree? 1k/800 ? =.= unless money means nothing to you, or you learnt nothing during your college and can't speak any english(which doesn't make sense) else, please ask for at least 1.8k(MINIMUM) for your own sake.

The salary is not the main issue here but the experience gained. if they offered me an engineer position i would seriously consider it being in the situation im in. btw the company seems like they are on their last limbs, place looks like crap, hr also not wearing proper clothes.

just try apply for other company. once they call you up for interview your pointers don't matter anymore. Just be patient during your job hunting. working in a crappy environment with crappy salary will simply decrease you motivation.

it is really sad companies are offering such low salaries... the last time i heard about this was a friend working in a o n g mnc... he got 1.6k for 1 year as trainee and they gave him 4x increment after that 1 year..

if you are a product of one of the local degree factories and you are despreate... then you have no choice...

If you have problem finding a job, take this instead. rm1.3k is not that bad seriously look at current economy. Your an assistant engineer not an engineer.

Just learn to save more & you'd do good in 3 years time.

Too low. Even for experience sake, that's just ridiculous abuse. But if you cannot really find any other job, take it for a moment but don't try to stay too long and make sure you have enough free time to look for another job. Check the terms whether you can quit without too much trouble.

If this job is in a small company, better not. Experience or not, you would be stuck there for some time. If its in a big company( but then big companies dont pay peanuts), by all means, do not be tied by any contract...

ridiculous. Experience??? What kind of experience can a company that pays RM1.3k to a degree holder give?

2nd class lower is not a problem. The way you value and conduct yourself is a problem.

having a degree with no experience means no value compared to no qualifications with experience.

doh.gif doh.gif The experience part come later once you actually work. The "No experience" is just stupid tactic employed by employer to justify low pay and some continue to pay low despite already have few years exp. Most uni grads are not that useless and can offer better contribution than non-degree holders (though the rate we are churning out low quality grads are of concern). The frankly RM1.3k is just ....really ridiculous unless you work in kampung area.

OK, but whether TS have had any industrial training? If no i think industrial trainee only get paid between rm500-1000?

"Most uni grads are not that useless and can offer better contribution than non-degree holders". Really depends on the job if it's practical or paper & pen. I still think non-degree holders with experience are way better than fresh grads, at least for the 1st 3 years, which justifies the low pay i guess. But sure if you live on your own rm1.3k can be tough, but better than rm0k.

Agreed on some point but at some field, fresh grads are actually more valued. I mean I need not have to explain to my client why we make a boo boo because the non-degree holder do not know basic calculus for engineering work.

It may be better than RM0k but like I said, only applies if you really really running out of option. Or else you are just ruining job market.

It does not matter whether TS has industrial training or not. He has a degree which shows that he has at least managed to grasp what he was studying and passed all his courses.

Doesn't matter that he knows next to nothing on what he is about to do. That is the case for almost all fresh graduates. The degree is just a paper to prove that ts is capable of learning.

No rules states that u cant go for another interview if u take the job... u can go for interview as much as u wan for the rest of ur life, no one restrict u...

what kind of experience you can gain with a job only pays RM1.3k? data entry? usually company pay this much to do "lap sap" work bcos their own engineers dun want to do it... I hope I am wrong but I have seen it before... wait, even engineers that do "lap sap" work get better pay than RM1.3k..

If experience is important to you, try to get as much info as possible for your workscope.. I doubt its something added value... good luck..
