DBS Remit is 8am to 2.30pm for same day transfer. Excludes public holidays and weekends. So if you miss, must wait till next working day.

I would recommend using Transferwise:

Very low rates, first transfer is free to try out and you can actually charge it to your credit card! smile.gif

im currently working in singapore and i'm trying to find a way to send money back to malaysia.
tried to find remittance services but can't really find a good one, some of them requires a us bank account.

is there anyway, from anyone who'd been sending money back to m'sia here? mind to share?

(p.s: heard of this somewhere but i dont want to travel to jb and transfer the money manually every month sweat.gif )

Do you have account with POSB or DBS?

transferring money to Malaysia bank account is FOC

can do in through online like normal transfer money only

some more it is instant one

Avoid using DBS/POSB. Rates not cheap.
Use instarem/singx if you can open an account with them.
If cannot transferwise is the best choice. One account for any country.

Rates not cheap?

you mean the exchange rate?

i just open my POSB app and checked, 1 SGD = 3.02 MYR

and no charges when transfer money to Malaysia account

hmm, maybe my POSB account is the most basic one

I have tried lots of bank transfer methods, but I would recommend InstaReM as they are currently the cheapest provider with 1.4 SGD for the transfer fees and a very competitive SGD-MYR conversion rate (current rate: 1 SGD = 3.0591 MYR).
On the other hand, if your receipt wants the money in cash, You should try WorldRemit as they do not charge transfer fees and have a competitive SGD-MYR conversion rate

To quote from their website:
"TransferWise Singapore Pte Ltd is a company incorporated under the laws of Singapore with Unique Entity Number 201422384R. TransferWise Singapore Pte Ltd is regulated as a remittance business by The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) license: 01493."

I use them regularly so far no issues. Quite convenient now especially due to covid19 lockdown. No longer need to go down to bank or remmitance shop.

So far CIMB provided the best rate....a few time got actual 3.077 and 3.068 etc.
Transferwise is ok... The best I got so far is close to 3.06 ..

Above rate is the nett rate I got...after deduct commission

I applied for instarem.... unfortunately the process seem to be a bit complicated and I not managed to have the account.
