Read the reviews, everything is there and comparison is also available. The SSD is still faster and more superior, the Momentus XT can't even go on par but only near to the SSD in certain cases. Plus, Momentus XT cannot run on RAID-0.

Agreed, the result still remains unsatisfying. I'd rather go for OCZ Onyx SSD instead of spending on hybrid drive.

Just some quick question, will extra rm200 worth the money to spend on Sata 3 ssd compare to spending on ocz vertex 2 (sata 2) ssd?

As far as my concern, normal usage/gaming would be visible? (correct me if i'm wrong)

Aiyoh, 1/4 ram = 25% = 4gb sweat.gif I would consider setting 2-50mb Page file on C drive and call it a day if you are worried of the PC crashing in case the rams got used up.

@riku
I see no reason to buy SATA2 now when SATA3 Crucial M4 is so affordable.

If ur mobo support sata3, than why not? you are seeing a double in transfer speed here.

@alamak
although crucial m4 are affordable but it would be a nightmarish task of RMA for the unlucky fellow. if only I didn't bought my corsair force3 120GB for rm620 than I might say something differently

I see, Still I see a lot of users are complaining Cosair F3 SSD facing corruption and BSODs. As Cosair F3 is one of the Sata 3 SSD on RM600~700 range.

yes alot of ppl are complaining abt sandforce sata3 ssd having multitude of problems. but I see most SB mobo user tend to say the firmware update usually solves their problems.
if u want to play safe than go with marvel based ssd
*
I guess i better save extra cash for upcoming ssd in next year. Prolly go with hybrid drive first.

Still sandforce controller offers good performance, strangely ocz isn't affected by sandforce. Weird.

Judging from the speed, it looks like Sata 2 SSD speed.

Good news if it is true that the latest FW will fix the BSOD bug since it's been a year after the launch.

I'm going to grab some SF-based SSDs if it's fixed.
*
if that's the case, then prolly its safe for me to go with cosair f3 120gb. biggrin.gif

Im guessing this could be THE thing that earns true hybrid drive. Tho the price seems somewhat close to the current ssd.

OCZ Synapse

Nice stuff. Its like u split the Hybrid drive into 2 things, Mechanical hard disk and Larger SSD cache.
