Just want to share my experience of SSD. I have one OCZ Agility 3 on my desktop and one OCZ Vertex 2 on my laptop. It's really fast, boot up time cut more than 50%. MacBookPro restart took me about 25sec, Win 7 not calculated yet.

IF you have SATA 3, go for SATA 3 version. OCZ Agility 3 60GB is the slowest but yet can achieve 440MB/s. My Vertez 2 can get 280MB/s. The only problem is OCZ have no flash update for mac, and it does not support Primary Drive update.. This is what drive me crazy.

If you can live with current speed then no point spend so much premium, if you can afford and want speed go ahead. My SSD is install for my work not for house pc. You can wait a bit long for home pc.

the small capacity usually is the slowest among the same category. Like mine agility 3 60gb is the slowest among agility 3.

Our SSD is not design for long lasting. If u need durable ssd get SLC version but price easily double.

OCZ is fast but i don't like the support it's sucks..Flash upgrade very troublesome, doesn't support mac. I'm not sure about other brand. For SATA-3 version, now still problem with a lot of BSOD.

How is the speed of this SSD? I flashed it to FW 1.3.

At 8K to 64K test, write is faster than read speed huh??

This is my SSD vs HDD performance. OCZ vs WD.

Compare with my Vertex 2, Agility 3 can go beyond 300MB/s biggrin.gif.

That's a pretty sweet improvement. Does your Agility 3 feel much faster than your Vertex 2 in regular use?

Very hard to compare...one with window 7 one with mac os lion..I really wanna compare i think vertex is faster because all is install in to SSD. Agility 3 i only use to store window and some apps. Other apps i store in HDD.

Hi there, new to this thread
Currently i'm using OCZ Agility 3, no problem so far until this morning
I use Autoclick last night(overnight) & when i turn on my monitor this morning, a BSOD with 000007a is showing, i try to restart and it say my boot drive is missing
Then i go to my BIOS and check, there's only my HDD n optical drive, SSD Gone?!?! shocking.gif

I turn off everything and unplug the SSD, then plug in and try again, it works fine..no problem after running some bench (cine,prime..)

Anyone know what's wrong with the BSOD? do i have to update my firmware?
Please please icon_question.gif
notworthy.gif thanks in advance
