Aarrgghh!! I just found out my P5K MOBO has taken away the SATA's AHCI support. I'm left with IDE only Now my SSD can't run as fast as it should
Max i can get is 160MB/99MB

I just bought Corsair's F series 60GB SSD. I hope it's a wise choice as I wanted the one with SandForce controller.

For a single SSD, you should always run it in AHCI mode... Before you format & install a fresh copy of Windows, enable AHCI under your BIOS configuration first.
