QUOTE(zzzz52 @ Dec 5 2011, 12:02 AM) I would not say it will be very slow, it will be slower in sequential read, write, but for other like random seek, it will be still very fast. You will not actually feel the difference in daily use between sata 3 vs 2 for daily use, true enough. no big difference. u wont even feel it. but just the feeling of having something fast and not able to get the speed is sometimes gets to u, coz it is like half of the speed u shud be getting... but if u have future plan to upgrade the mobo that wont be a waste. QUOTE(yhsiau @ Dec 11 2011, 11:24 AM) Noob's question: Does the SSD performance drop when the storage capacity is running low. actually i does a bit. if u dont believe u can try benchmark when u install a fresh windows and after u have install all the software u want. u can see the difference

QUOTE(beetle_larvae @ Dec 14 2011, 04:19 PM) Just got new mobo and setup with crucial m4 64 gb.. The write speed is a bit low [attachmentid=2585695] have u updated the firnware? then tweak your system here is the link http://thessdreview.com/Forums/ssd-optimiz...n-guide/209.htm Added on December 14, 2011, 5:22 pmbut then again i think your speed is ok coz u are using 60gb capacity right? QUOTE(beetle_larvae @ Dec 14 2011, 05:23 PM) alamak just realized the 64gb version is rated 415MB/s Sequential Read, 95MB/s Sequential Write .No wonder la.. Firmware 009 out of the box. yes your speed is good for a 64gb M4 ssd, write speed varies according to capacity. the larger capacity u have the higher the speed

QUOTE(1qaz1qaz @ Dec 14 2011, 09:29 PM) are u looking at the sequential speed or the 4k random? coz from the specs i see both have same 4k random max iops. but from benchmark i gather around the net agility3 has a better 4k random read over force3

QUOTE(1qaz1qaz @ Dec 14 2011, 09:58 PM) so OCZ is a better choice?? well i'd say... better than force3 in 4k random read(for normal users daily use) but.... just make sure u have the latest firmware..

QUOTE(kuntawakaw @ Dec 18 2011, 08:48 PM) maybe before this (using HDD) your pagefile is alot, then after change to SSD, your pagefile become less/disable memory = ram. not your Storage. how much your ram is? edit: wait.. i saw 4gb or ram. that one shud be enough. Task manager process tab pls. while running MW3 if possible thats what i thought

nice 4k random speed u got there... have u downloaded intel ssd toolbox 3.0.1 ? just use the ssd optimizer to keep your ssd at the healthiest state. thats all u need
