Crucial and Intel SSDs are more reliable.
U don't need those unstable SF based SSDs. |

QUOTE(kelvin_hata @ Oct 10 2011, 11:14 PM) Sandforce vs MarvellQUOTE(owikh84 @ Apr 28 2011, 12:34 AM) I'd say C300 128GB is the best SSD in the market atm. 4K Random Read is the most important thing for 97% of users, primarily at QD1. The C300 is still the fastest at 4K reads from QD 1 to 4 and it stands its ground with 4K writes as well, even beats out the newer M4. [attachmentid=2182448] |

QUOTE(iaknesnah @ Oct 18 2011, 11:04 AM) So SandForce has officially identified the BSOD bug, and released some firmware. OCZ is getting it first. Good news if it is true that the latest FW will fix the BSOD bug since it's been a year after the launch.http://www.anandtech.com/show/4973/sandfor...available-today hope this can really solve the problems for good I'm going to grab some SF-based SSDs if it's fixed. |

The RMA of the SSD
- Intel 0.1% (against 0.3%) - Crucial 0.8% (against 1.9%) - Corsair 2.9% (against 2.7%) - OCZ 4.2% (against 3.5%) Intel confirms its first place with a return rate of the most impressive. It is followed from Crucial, which significantly improves the rate but it must be said that the latter was heavily impacted by the M225 - the C300 is only reached 1%. The return rate for failure are up against Corsair and OCZ especially in the latter confirmed by far his last position. 8 SSDs are beyond the 5%: - 9.14% 2 240 GB OCZ Vertex - 8.61% 2 120 GB OCZ Agility - 7.27% 40GB OCZ Agility 2 - 6.20% 60GB OCZ Agility 2 - 5.83% 80 GB Corsair Force - 5.31% 90GB OCZ Agility 2 - 5.31% 2 100 GB OCZ Vertex - 5.04% OCZ Agility 2 3.5 "120 GB Note the courage of Corsair Force 80, who came to be inserted between cousins OCZ based SandForce ... good news for SSDs in raid
QUOTE SSDs in RAID Get TRIM, Don't Lose Performance Anymore SOSThose who did, though, may have noticed a particular line that says “this release will not enable the TRIM on RAID0 feature, but it will be added in the next RST 11.5 release. Contact your RST AE representative with questions.” |

Intel 520 Series SSD to Utilize SandForce Controller
QUOTE The new Intel 520 Series SSD will be backed by Intel's 5-year warranty, upholding to Intel's long-standing reputation on reliability. This does question if Intel has modified the SandForce SF-22xx controller's firmware with its own "tweak" to help with its widely known random BSOD issues. The original release of the Intel 520 Series SSD was slated for November, now come and gone. This leaves us to believe the drive is set to be released any time--but based on the information provided by Softpedia, it looks more like a Q1 2012 release date. 5 years on SF controller |
