QUOTE(OmniAtlas @ Dec 4 2010, 08:00 PM) Hey all, I'm planning to place an order for a Macbook air 11" within the next couple days. It will be upgraded to 1.6 ghz, 4 gb ram; I am not in Malaysia at the moment but I have heard the upgrade models are not in stock and will need to be custom built. Do you guys know how long from placing the order will it take to have the item delivered either via the Apple store, or directly from a retailer (such as Mac City, or Machines)? I will only be in KL for a few weeks, so I need to know how long it will take to ship. Thanks. custom unit should take 7-10days via Apple Store. provided all the online payment went well. 7days in my case. including holiday.

that is why apple suggest to do calibration at regular interval. same goes to all li-ion products. run the coconut, or else check the battery condition after 3-4 years or usage ..provided the battery still can run. major concept is to optimize the usage, instead of maximize/minimize. From Apple's article :- QUOTE The battery may appear to stop charging between 93 percent and 99 percent. QUOTE The batteries used in these computers are designed to avoid short discharge/charge cycles in order to prolong the overall life of the battery. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1909This post has been edited by zemmien: Dec 26 2010, 03:01 AM
