Just bought myself Macbook Air, the base 3299 model. Was told by the epicenter guys that it would take 2-3 weeks to get the 4Gb version, so I just pay and left.
Now, i saw the online store says it takes only 3 days! grrrr.....

Looks like it is pretty much a standard practice to quote maximum waiting time to push people to buy on the spot. I should have known better.
Anyway, I hope 2G is enough. I browser with like 10 window and 1 pages document and 1 pdf open already left me with barely 100Mb free RAM left. But with the fast hd, even with some disk swapping, it should be bearable. Without looking at the mem usage, everything is still snappy so far.

Oh man, after a few days with the Air, I think I want to ditch my 2.8 Ghz Macbook pro AND the 11" air.. and get a maxed out 13" air to serve as my primary laptop. It is THAT good..

QUOTE(benny888 @ Dec 20 2010, 07:33 AM) I don't like safari as it is not so versatile/user friendly and fast compared to chrome. For me speed and quick downloads is more crucial. Second is firefox I found chrome uses a lot more memory than Firefox. I'd use firefox if not because it slowly eats up cpu after a while.
